magicbalala245
"That's like no respect, No respect. No respect for us. We'll talk about it. I'm sure we'll talk about it. ... I'm sure Kobe heard that and I'm sure he'll do his part tomorrow. As a team, we'll do our part. I'll just go out there and play defense. He's a great passer. He's a great player. I'm a great defender. I'm gonna do what I do. It's just no respect. That's how it's been for a long time so far this playoffs. No respect. Guys have no respect. Coaches have no respect for the Lakers at all. They don't respect at all. They don't respect me. They want me to play out of character and start jacking all these crazy shots and not look to pass to Pau. They're trying to not respect me to try and win the game. Coach Alvin Gentry, he don't respect me. A lot of guys don't respect me. I think there will come a point and time where I earn some respect. But I'll wait, you know. I'm not rushing. Hawks Fly High
Ron artest's speech about respect kinda sounds like Iverson with practice. but they both right in nash being a little bit overconfident
Owner Real Deal Posted May 29, 2010 Owner Report Share Posted May 29, 2010 I don't see a problem with what any of them are saying, honestly. Nash is either going to say they will win Game 6, or he's going to say they won't. If someone asked me if my team was going to win a particular game, I'm not going to answer by saying, "Oh man, I hope so." And if I'm Ron or Phil, I'm asking why the Lakers aren't getting the respect they deserve...because, quite frankly, they aren't. So really, it's not an issue, from either side.
