I don't get the point you are trying to make, people thought gamecube was the same thing, a childish console, meanwhile gamecube got Resident Evil 4, not PS2 or Xbox. Because everyone had a PS3 or 360 already and plays with their friends online. The majority of those people wouldn't think to purchase a Wii in addition to what they already own. I think it's more of the Wii being released too late rather than it being labelled childish. I've played the Wii and it's a lot of fun, but it doesn't even touch what the other 2 consoles provide. Everyone here grew up on Nintendo, so it only makes sense that a lot of ppl our age would buy it. I bought it thinking, Mario, Zelda, DK, and Kirby all day, lets go. Sadly, it took them a while to get their good games out, but slowly they are bringing those games back. I also bought if before I had a 360 because it was the cheapest console around, I ended up buying the 360 almost a year later and when I played that, I didn't touch the Wii for a long time. They did a good job today though, they are bringing back Zelda, Kid Icarus, Kirby, and DK. Sadly, most of the games are for 3DS, which is another thing. I have the GoTY edition of Batman: Arkham Asylum for PS3, which features a 3D version with 3D glasses, but you can turn it off and it looks like the regular game.
