magicbalala245
Was this it for Nash? Does he need to be traded to achieve a ring or can he do it in Phoenix? Sound off in this thread.
Cobb
Unfortunately, it was his last chance. I doubt Phoenix makes any drastic changes this offseason that would make then contenders.
Sun Tzu
Their last chance for sure unless somehow we get really lucky and sign Dirk + some other guys.
Guru
Most likely.
ballorama
I think he should go somewhere else.. but I doubt he will. And no i dont think the suns are gonna get any better. So yes, this was his last chance
Jenneral
I feel like it was his last chance as a Sun. If he really wants a ring he's going to need to go elsewhere.
The Regime
I feel like it was his last chance as a Sun. If he really wants a ring he's going to need to go elsewhere. Agreed. Amare is likely gone. Grant Hill is probably contemplating retirement. And as far as the West goes it's only going to get better with teams like Houston and Portland getting healthy.
Paul
i hate to say it but yes. i would love for him to go somewhere and contend. maybe, just maybe, fish will retire after he gets his 5th ring and then nash can sign a mle with the lakers. i HATE the lakers but at the same time i would really like nash to win a ring so he can lock up his HOF spot. Multi-Billionaire
The emergence of Dragic would make it more likely for Suns to deal Nash. I think Suns will take the safe approach and keep Nash when 2010-11 opens, and see in the first 20-25 games if Dragic is ready for a starting role. Then, if Nash also wants out, they will deal him I believe... mostly to grant his wish to win a title elsewhere. Â But Dragic is key, he'll make it easy for Suns to grant Nash's wish. It will be, in fact, easier on Nash as well.

It's just a matter of the rings now Edited May 30, 2010 by magicbalala245
Tyler81
I would going to give my opinion but everyone basically said it for me. This was it for him, he is 36 I believe so he doesn't have too many years left especially with the way he play. I think he would fit in perfect with the Mavericks when Kidd retires
NomarFachix
Last dance with Mary Jane, he re-signed too early and in too good of faith.
bigdog17k
Yep, and it really bothers me. I wanted Nash to get 1.
Dr. Feelgood
With the Suns, yes, with another team that could use a good PG that is contending, then no.
Clutch
last chance as a leader and best (or 2nd best) player on the phoenix suns team under an average coach in the tough western conference last chance in career? only if he decides to finish his career with the suns, which i think is very likely..he loves to win and obviously wants a ring but i think he is still happy with his career even if he doesn't win it
EastCoastNiner
LeBron + Nash = CHAMPIONSHIP!
Clutch
lebron + nash = 4 mvp trophies don't even have teammates on the floor, just place the trophies on the court next to them lol
bigdog17k
Maybe Phoenix should trade Nash for something, they have Dragic who could probably start.
Check my Stats
Idk why Nash re-signed and idk why the Suns re-signed him. He can still play but he would be best suited signing the MLE somewhere where he can contend, Lakers could use him.
Multi-Billionaire
LeBron + Nash = CHAMPIONSHIP! I'm not sure about that... Nash needs the ball in his hands to be effective. LeBron does too. Nash isn't exactly the type who flourishes playing off the ball. Put Nash alongside Howard, now it will be potent.
Cleveland's Finest
Still has a chance. Amare's decision is a big deal in this question, but we wrote off the Suns as a 5-8 seed at best before the season began, and they were a few big moments away from making the finals (Artest's buzzer beater, etc...)Â Easily the best bench in the league, and if Hill and Amare stay, or if the Suns find a way to land a few names, they are contenders. AllenIverson#1fan
Nope. The Suns will make the play-offs next season as well. He should be traded though for youth.
ChosenOne
I have always said both Nash ans Dirk will not win a championship unless they play together. I am sticking by it and saying no because I highly doubt they ever play together again. Edited June 4, 2010 by ChosenOne
ChosenOne
LeBron + Nash = CHAMPIONSHIP! I would disagree they would still need a good solid center to make anything like that happen.
SRT Spidey
the best chance they had was in 04 or 05 i cant remember which one but it was when they had Joe Johnson, Q Rich, Amare, Marion, and Nash. That was the best suns team ive ever seen honestly
