Sky
Bresnahan of the Times tweeting that Bynum had 70cc drained from his knee today. Nearly double what Kobe had done.
SRV
Knee drains are great. When I tore my ACL, I could barely walk, or sit because of all the pain. After the knee drain I was ready to go out and play basketball and tear my ACL some more lol.
Owner Real Deal Posted June 1, 2010 Owner Report Share Posted June 1, 2010 Wow, that's quite a bit. That's actually a good thing, though. After Kobe's was drained, he came out and killed OKC, and he's been a mad man ever since. I'm aware that Bynum's knee is a meniscus tear, so it's not going to heal just from the draining, but anything like this is a positive for his mobility and strength. The Regime
Great news, hopefully he comes out strong like Kobe did when he got his knee drained. Quick question, are there any downfalls to getting a knee drained?
Owner Real Deal Posted June 1, 2010 Owner Report Share Posted June 1, 2010 Quick question, are there any downfalls to getting a knee drained?I don't believe so. The point of draining the knee is for relief and mobility, so it doesn't seem like it. Never had it done before, though.
SRV
Knee drain is simply sticking a needle in your knee and taking out all the blood around your knee to reduce the swelling and pain. It works wonders, and it would definitely help him with his swelling problem. The tear doesn't hurt at all, the only pain associated with a tear in the knee is the swelling, once thats done you can't feel a thing.
