Erick Blasco
Mike Dunleavy charts out as the most unclutch. Something in the water at Duke? And how about Trevor Ariza and Ron Artest each being in the bottom eight?
Owner Real Deal Posted June 3, 2010 Owner Report Share Posted June 3, 2010 I'm not surprised about any of those players, really...but as you reach the top, the list doesn't take into consideration the defensive attention the player receives, or the role he plays in the offense. Battier used to be a clutch shooter...couldn't stand when he'd shoot to the corner and drop threes to tie games up. Bowen did it, and so did Bell (imagine that, massive defensive players netting open threes in clutch moments). Artest was that way for a while, but with the busted hand, his shooting took a HUGE tumble, from 40% 3PT to almost 20% at some points of the season. Nitro
Has more to do with Yao and T-Mac not being around than anything. For his first few years in Houston he was the team's big-shot maker, hitting a number of dagger 3's set-up off the T-Mac/Yao PnR. Without the benefit of getting open looks in the clutch, it doesn't surprise me he's that low.
