The Regime
In a question and answer blog post, Ira Winderman suggests the Heat may be interested in acquiring Greg Oden from the Blazers. "I do think there is an outside chance the Heat makes a run at Greg Oden, or at least sees what the asking price would be," writes Winderman. Winderman has covered the Heat for 22 years. http://realgm.com/src_wiretap_archives/66932/20100601/heat_could_make_run_at_oden/#ixzz0pdrTWk00

NomarFachix
And what exactly do they have to offer? Lol..... Do they still have the rights to Clarence Weatherspoon?
SRV
Stupid move, we will have to give up a lot for an injury prone center who has yet to play more than 10 games straight in the NBA. Wade wants to win, not hope to win.

Flash
Don't trust what Ira says. He is not a reliable source. This. Ira Winder sucks. He's also the leader of the Michael Beasley haters association.

Owner Real Deal Posted June 3, 2010 Owner Report Share Posted June 3, 2010 If some aren't going to give up on Andrew Bynum yet, you might as well treat Oden the same way. He's a defensive monster. Him and Dwight Howard were the two best defensive centers in the NBA last season (in the limited time Oden played, of course). Say Miami does pursue him...they can do it with someone taking a walk due to free agency (that includes Haslem and Wright). I like Joel Anthony, and he's a good defender down low, but he's not starter material...at least not yet. Wade would appreciate a defensive anchor like Oden. Poe
I agree that Anthony isn't the ideal starter, and that Oden would be fantastic if he can stay healthy. There are still no facts behind whether the Heat are pursuing Oden or not. As of right now, the likelyhood of the Heat going after Oden is the same as if they are going after any other center in the league. Again, Ira is not a legitimate source. His 'facts' are as good being pulled straight out of his [expletive].
