JWaLL
My biceps are so damn sore from yesterday, wow. From legs and back? Lol. I think I'm gonna do Cardio X instead of Kenpo X. Kenpo is just pointless to me haha

Isn't Cardio X for next week or something. Kenpo X seems just like a nice way to learn fight moves haha.

Kenpo is great for reducing that fat around the chest, abdomen, and arms. Gotta get that six pack showing quickly, im sticking to Kenpo today! :glasses:

kingfish
Ive been doing a lot of crunches lately and sit ups and the plank excercise. Im scared I might do too much, crunches actually have become fun for me now haha. But I also get scared of anything I eat now because I want to get a completely toned stomach. Your muscles grow the fastest when they're at rest. So do an intense ab workout every other day, like Ab Ripper X for example. That's the only workout I was really doing before I started P90X and I got a defined six pac in a couple weeks. Crunches are overrated, Ab Ripper X is where it's at. EastCoastNiner
You get a six pack through your diet, not really through working your abs. Your abs will be bigger the more you work them, but they won't show if there is still a layer of fat.

I don't really focus on diet though because for some reason I always eat whatever I want and never seem to gain weight or fat.

I checked out the ab ripper x thing and didnt really like it, just felt more like a legs and thighs workout, and I feel stupid doing it and it didnt even really burn although I may have done them wrong. I rather stick to crunches sit ups, and plank (which helps back also). Ill try the abx again though cause apparently its soooo good. Also I have a littleee bit of flab that I need to get rid of first so thats partially why I work abs so much, im not neccesarily dieing to get a six pack but I wouldnt mind. HipHopHead
What protein shake do you drink? Your own or..?I'd just go whey protein and non-fat milk. Maybe add fruit if you want.
kingfish
I JUST FINISHED AB RIPPER X 25 REPS OF EVERYTHING, OMFG I FEEL THE BURN. definitely doing that thing again in 2 days. Edited June 27, 2010 by kingfish
HipHopHead
the fact that you're either too dim to understand what I'm saying or just choosing not to understand what I'm saying shows a lot about you. I never said p90x didn't work, not sure where you're pulling that blasphemy from (possibly out of your [expletive], once again). what fact have you shown? that website shows nothing to disprove the statement, "it's healthiest to lose .5 pounds per." quoting a website does nothing for me, especially since you can't explain WHY it's not best to lose this minimal amount of weight. i'll quote myself on this one: i'd like you to show me a list of the doctors who use p90x, and I'll be happy to list the athletes, nutritionists, etc. who reference the book on the first page... JWaLL
I JUST FINISHED AB RIPPER X 25 REPS OF EVERYTHING, OMFG I FEEL THE BURN. definitely doing that thing again in 2 days.LOL I'm glad you felt it. At first when you said you didn't feel it I was shocked. It's a full core exercise, not just abs so you may feel it in your legs. All I know is, that [expletive] works haha. Just finish X-Stretch, damn I needed that. My entire lower body was so sore after legs and back and now I feel a lot better. Still a bit stiff but way better. And HipHopHead... you're just making a fool of yourself. Don't come in here trying to bash a workout program that you aren't even doing. It's working for all of us, so if you don't like it then either talk about YOUR workout schedule or get the [expletive] out.
CaliCurbStomppa
I wanted post this link. This guy is very helpful and i tried this and i felt the burn really bad. It might sound why use a pillow to do abs but it actually a great workout. You guys should give it a go and see how u like it Edited June 28, 2010 by CaliCurbStomppa
JWaLL
Done with Chest and Back+ Ab Ripper X today and DAMN that felt good. I paced myself in the first round and then went all out in round 2, finishing with 30 of those Dive Bombers. The protein shake I had immediately after couldn't have tasted any better haha. Glad I'm done, now Plyo X tomorrow... my legs are still sore from Legs and Back last week haha.

JWaLL
Nice job. I'm going to do it later in the day..did you feel any difference from last week?Definitely. It was way easier this time after getting a week's worth of P90X workouts. Now I'm used to the intensity and I just pushed through this one. The Ab Ripper killed me afterwards though. I got through it but when I was done I just sat in Child's Pose for like 5 straight minutes haha.

NomarFachix
Is there a guide for P90X? I got it online, and I didn't download the readme file... I'm assuming that is where you find which DVD to do on which day, which combo, etc?
JWaLL
Yep, right here. I recommend doing the Classic schedule, that's what I'm doing and I assume everyone else is as well: http://www.p90xmomma.com/p90x-classic-schedule.php It's divided into 3 phases, each consisting of about 30 days (just incase the "phase" thing was confusing).
