I was at 145 two months ago and now I'm at 155 almost 160. Learned how to really work out this past month though, lol. I want to be 170 by February. I need to eat more though. How do you guys manage to just stuff yourselves when you're bulking?

Honestly there are 2 things that help me get tons of calories

 

Protein Bars (mine contains 360 calories, 30 grams of protein)

Protein Shakes (1700 calories, 90 grams of protein)

 

2060 calories, 120 grams of protein just from 2 things, and I also eat 4 extra meals on top of this.

You can get these for 1.98 each at wal-mart.

 

I also recommend these which you can also get at wal-mart, 4 packs are only 6$ at wal-mart.

I also mentioned the shake that I take, true mass, 2 bananas, 2 eggs, huge spoonful of peanut butter, and milk.

I have been slacking. I saw a pic of myself that I took Christmas day standing next to my cousins and I was like, do I really look that big? I was going for the slim look and I looked kind of like those guys that only work out their arms. So I just stopped working out since then and I have been eating garbage lol

 

I am going to start my diet thingy again, really got me working out consistently and eating healthy back when I was doing it.

 

Also those MET-RX cookie dough bars are amazing. I can never find them though, I was buying them at Publix for a while but they only had like 4 bars at most. Then some other douchebag discovered them or something and every time I went they were sold out.

Today I went to the gym after taking a 2 day break, and tore it up. Was able to do 100x12 and 110x8 on triceps pushdown, and 135x3 on bench which were new maxes for me. Feels great.

 

I think I am on a better pace than you, you went from 1 to 3, I went from 4-5 to 10. You should try doing 4-6 reps so you can get stronger, and once you can do more than 6, add 5 pounds.

I just got scammed at GNC. I bought Optium Whey Protein and it was $90. There was a sale that made it $75 and then the lady (who was super fine) was like, here take this GNC gold member card for free, its usually $15 but ill give it to you free. So I was like sure. So basically I just had to pay the full price of the protein as if it wasn't on sale for a stupid card that's only useful for the first week of the month.

Ive been reading on bodybuilding.com that if you're lifting weights and you're an ectomorph (someone who has trouble putting on fat) you have the right to eat what you want, fast food, chocolate, etc. as long as you can get the calories. It can be beneficial in muscle-building.

I feel very stupid now. I also buy everything off Amazon but for this one time I didn't. Amazon has the same exact protein I bought for $35 cheaper. I know where to go next time lol

I've tried Jack3d twice now, yesterday took a little more than 2 scoops, today i tried about 2.5. Felt nothing. On the way to the gym I actually felt a little more tired than normal. I did however notice my legs were shaking uncontrollably when i was doing shoulders today, but I think thats because I did ~12 sets of leg exercises before that. Not a fan of the product so far.

Any of you dudes trying to put on weight should really make sure you are taking the following:

 


  •  
  • branched chain amino acids (BCAA)
  • fish oil (doesnt matter what brand)
  • 2x body weight in grams of protein per day (hydrolyzed whey protein along with foods high in protein)
  • multi-vitamin (Animal pack multivitamin suggested)

 

These are some essentials IMO.

Never took fish oil, is that only for joints or does it help other shit as well?

 

The main things when trying to get bigger is eating and consumption of protein IMO that's all i did to get bigger.

It helps you increase your muscle's sensitivity to insulin, which means that you'll use carbs more efficiently. It also helps with cardiovascular support, muscle composition, and clear skin :)

Thats how I was the first time I took creatine. For the entire first week I was feeling really tired and my stomach was always hurting. Eventually my body adjusted and it helped a lot. I would give it a few more days to see if starts working.

350 grams of protein, O__O. I get in at least 200 but 350? gawd dam.

I've heard one gram of protein per pound of lean body mass. so if you weigh 200 lbs, have 10% body weight, take 180 grams of protein. Thats how I've been doing it.

 

 

I've heard both, and I am still just doing 1 gram per pound too. I usually get in at least 200 though. 90 from my shake, 30 from my protein bar, 52 from 2 cans of tuna, and then whatever else i eat.
