CaliCurbStomppa
I feel like the more I have worked out, the worse I have gotten at pull ups. The first 2 months I ever did pull ups I was able to do 10 in a row like a breeze, lately I struggle to do 5 in a row. I guess I am just getting to heavy to pull myself up lol Also, I find it nearly impossible to do them with my wrist pointing away from my face..probably my form. Are you doing them everyday b/c u need rest. Dont do pullups all time b/c ur muscles prob tired
SRV
Nah, at the time I could do more I was doing chest twice a week for one week, then next week I would do arms twice a week. I quickly realized it was stupid and recently I have been lazy on my workout and only working out like 2 times a week as compared to the 5 times a week I was doing before. Although I am working out less now, I am getting bigger, just can't explain why I am fine doing every workout but when I do pull ups its a pain in the ass. I think it might be the fact that I am tall and my pull up bar is at the door so I have to do weird shit in order to go all the way down without hitting the floor. YugoRocketsFan
Anyone here squat? I am beginning tomorrow. Ive never done it in my life before (not even a rep) so I am going to just do it a few times with the bar until I get the form down then quickly add 50 pounds to squat around 95. Then next time I work out I will go from there and keep raising the weight until I can do enough to get 5 reps per set I actually decided to do it because my hamstrings arent as well defined as my quads. Plus the leg/glute area is a place where a ton of fat storage is so squats might just help me cut a lot of fat from those areas so I can get a six pack more easily. SRV
First time I did squats it took me like 20 minutes to figure out how to actually do the squat position, which isn't hard, I am just an idiot. I really like doing them though, just make sure you have a partner, if not you are screwed if you can't get the weight up.
ChosenOne
I squat every other week, and SRV bro i have been squatting for a year and it still takes me a full warm up set to get me positioning down lol. I dont squat all that heavy though my goal with legs for the most part is reps i normally go 4 sets of 15 135 x2 and 175 x2 and a final of 10 at 205. Slaven just make sure you warn up and get your stance down first its very easy to [expletive] you back up when squatting.
CaliCurbStomppa
I squats all the time make sure you go all the way down b/c some people r stupid and barely go all the way down. YugoRocketsFan
Ima have 2 spotters dw. Theyve squatted plenty of times before so they'll help me big time on form and everything. I am excited about doing squats though because I have really good natural leg strength, I hardly work out legs and I can leg press 500 pounds, and my free kicks in soccer are insanely good because of the power in my leg. Lmfao you claim to work out but don't squat!?!?! I don't even know what to say to you. On the bright side, you will probably see great results in the first couple of weeks. I was never serious about working out legs anyway until now.

trutrojan8
I know it sounds like [expletive] shit, but I was finally able to bench 135 today. When I first started working out IE 2 months ago, I was only able to do 25s on each side of the bar. So adding 40 pounds to my bench in 2 months feels like a huge accomplishment to me. #feelsgoodman
moeroadkill
loosing motivation i think i need to write up a routine or something, to keep me on track because some days im outside for about hour and a half others its around 20mins

It is expected to have a shitty bench when you're just starting out. Also make sure to work out shoulders hardcore if you wanna get your bench up. trutrojan8
^Yeah my shoulders were probably the weakest part of my body... my right one just got tired so incredibly fast, despite the fact that I played baseball for like 2/3 of my life. It was quite puzzling but now they're way better and I can actually see them haha

Working out shoulders and tris could easily get you a nice bench press.

YugoRocketsFan
Today was leg day and I was able to squat 145 pounds 8 times after having already done leg extensions + leg press. I was gonna try out 165 but my legs were cramping like fuarkkkk.Pretty sick, only squatted twice in my life and it looks like I can already max out at 200. YugoRocketsFan
lol something at the gym pissed me off today. I put 3 plates on each side on leg press, getting my knees to touch my chest (aka a real rep) and this old bish next to me puts 400 pounds on leg press and I started looking to see how far she goes down. Next thing you know I see her going down only 3-4 inches ( aka 1/32nd rep) Edited December 17, 2011 by Come at me bro

I have no patience for people who do half-reps. If you remember Diesel, he is a guy that squats a lot, does about 5 reps of maybe 300. If I see someone with chicken legs say that they squat 300 I immediatly call bs because those are the people who go down like 2 inches and say they can do that, if it was that easy then I can squat 800 pounds. NomarFachix
Diesel goes to the gym? He had the body of a 12 year old when I saw him. To be fair, most people who don't hit their chest on the bench or leg press is to preserve their joints. Same with squats. 90º rule is pretty common.
