Danny Ferry resigns

Good move. I think ending the Brown/Ferry era is a good start as we blow this whole thing up.

Moving forward, this team needs a coach and GM who can surround talent around LeBron, JJ, Mo, and Verajao. That is, if LeBron stays.

If not, we develop JJ, get a good draft pick and get a guard to combo with JJ and Mo.

lol they are changing everything to please Lebron, I am just waiting for him to leave.

I don't feel at all that they changed everything for LeBron, Ferry knew that if he didn't win this year that he was out. After they fired Brown, who was one helluva coach and will be a nice addition to any team without the high expectations Ferry also knew he was going out the door.

Whether LeBron leaves or not, this team will still make the playoffs I believe in an Eastern Conference where the Bucks got in for crying out loud this season. They are going to sign someone, might not be LeBron but it could be Wade or someone of that manner. Either way, I feel confident that the Cavs have the knowledge of what lies ahead.

LeBron Played No Role In Ferry's Departure

Despite reports to the contrary, LeBron James didn't play a role in Danny Ferry's decision to resign as general manager of the Cavaliers.

Ferry resigned earlier Friday. Cleveland fired head coach Mike Brown last month in the wake of their early playoff departure.

"#LeBron made aware of Ferry decision after it was made late Wed. High level sources: LeBron did not play a role in decision, he liked Ferry," Brian Windhorst of the Cleveland Plain Dealer wrote on his Twitter page.

Windhorst also reported that James had no comment when asked about Ferry's departure.

Dan Gilbert is in total control. He will do anything to keep LeBron, so my confidence has boosted extremely in the Cavs retaining LeBron. Gilbert will make sure we keep him and he understands that it's up to him to keep this talent in Cleveland.

I would say the chances of LeBron resigning just got slimmer.

Yup. Ferry did a great job in my opinion getting all the guys that LeBron or any head coach would want. They pretty much got everything in terms of players, just couldn't blend them together.
