Phightins
For the record, I am fully expecting the Phillies to take Jesse Biddle here, a local kid, and try to convince us that he is truly the "best arm still available".
Jenneral
Alright. For some reason I can't watch any videos on MLB.com? I click on "Watch Live" but all I get is a blank black screen. It's working fine for me.

Cobb
It's working fine for me. Really? Wow, this is quite annoying. I'm almost 100% positive that I have the Adobe Flash Player or whatever is required installed.
Phightins
Wow, some really good pitchers slid all the way out of the first round. Lets see how many make it out of the compensation round.
fish7718
-_- I can't believe we took Harvey, not faith in him at all
Flash
Boy, UM loses 3 signees today in Yelich, Castellanos and Jackson. Tough day for us.
Phightins
The Cardinals and Red Sox seem like the obvious day 1 winners.
Dash
DeShields? I don't know much baseball but that is a reach.
Phightins
Would you expect anything less from an Ed Wade-run team? Well, to be honest Ed drafted pretty well when he was in Philadelphia. Most of this core was drafted under his watch, but I think most of the credit can be given to other people.
Dash
I just don't know or care about this team anymore. Two first round draft picks (8th and 19th) and along with the first pick in the second round, I thought that there was absolutely no way Wade and the 'Stros could [expletive] it up this time. What did they end up doing?[expletive]ed up again. Edited June 8, 2010 by Dash
Flash
DeShields is signable which is a plus. He also gives the Astros some athleticism on the field which they lack a little bit of to be quite honest.

I'd have been shocked if he was gone before 19, but I guess they thought otherwise.

Meh, I guess he was a safe pick for them or they got word that maybe someone else would've taken him. I'm kinda bummed that Yasmani didn't go in the top 5 like previously reported he would. I thought he would go to KC at 4 but I'm glad he's in Cincy.
Cobb
Braves will pick third today. We should have a good chance at grabbing someone good. Hopefully Brett Eibner will still be available.
Flight
I think Michael Choice was a bit of a reach at 10 but he in my mind is a very good prospect. Power, speed, average... I think he's a solid pick for the As. Kind of confused by the Giants ignoring power and going for speed. I mean... this roster is anemic, and if it weren't for great pitching, no way we're 6 games over .500. Get some pop, not the fastest guy in the draft. Phightins
All the compensation picks the Red Sox got from the Mets they bet be, Bay and Wagner Of course, they were able to draft Brentz and Ranaudo in the compensation round, which makes their first day look a lot better. Other teams would not have touched either of them, especially Ranaudo, because of Mr. Boras. Anyway, Phillies got a catcher in the 3rd round. Some dude from U of Texas. I'd be lying if I said I knew anything about him, but that is a position they need depth at so I was happy to see them pick him.
