Owner Real Deal Posted June 8, 2010 Owner Report Share Posted June 8, 2010 Listing the top five most valuable players for the Boston Celtics... 1) Rajon Rondo2) Ray Allen3) Paul Pierce4) Kevin Garnett5) Kendrick Perkins Agree/disagree? Make your list. Rajon is the engine...been saying it for a while now. Ray Allen spreads the floor and is still the best off-the-ball player in the NBA (Richard Hamilton comes in second, Reggie Miller second to Ray, all-time). Pierce and Garnett...not really sure between the two, but I would take Pierce because of his offensive production and his good defense (not great). Garnett isn't producing on the offensive end, at least not like he used to, and his defense has taken a hit as well, but I think he's still a bit more important out on the floor than Perkins is. moeroadkill
they are all equally important. without one of them this team doesnt get very far

Nitro
1) Rondo2) Pierce3) Allen4) Garnett5) Perkins I put Pierce over Allen because he impacts the game in far more areas than just scoring (where Pierce is better as well). Pierce also gives the team an attitude and swagger that still defines this team.
Celtics3420
1: Rondo2: Pierce3: Jesus4: Perkins5: The Bench At this point i think it's safe to say Rondo is the MVP of this ball club.Pierce over Ray mainly because he has more versatility on offense than Ray and is a better defenderRay at 3rd because of his ability to swing the momentum fairly quickly, and he's easily our most clutch player IMO.Perk's defense is HUGE for this series, especially with the Lakers having such a big front-court. I couldn't choose within the bench, Nate is instant offense, Sheed is the length off the bench, TA is in mainly to D up Kobe, Baby provides hustle and heart. IMO, the bench is more valuable than Garnett at this point. Edited June 8, 2010 by Celtics3420
