I am going Wednesday and was wondering if their is something I have to see? I know like Yankee Stadium, Citi Field, SoL, Empire State, and Times Square. Anything else I HAVE to see and any great places to eat? I am staying in Manhattan about twenty blocks south of Times Square. Let me know guys, thanks.

I doubt you'll go out to Queens to see Citi Field but Yankee Stadium is on the beginning of Bronx close to Manhattan so you can still see that and go through Harlem first to get there wooooooo and statue of liberty is in Jersey son

K but now... Every place to eat in the city is good the thing that matters most is about the area its in. A famous "square" or "circle" is the place to be if you wanna eat (colombus circle, which is right next to central park) definitely visit central park. um idk meatpacking district is for celebrities if you wanna try and spot some.

FYI: Empire State Building is mad pricey to get to the top per individual.. the Rockefeller building next to radio city music hall and where the Christmas tree usually is with the ice skating next to it is also a great view and thats cheaper per individual if you wanna save some bucks

If you can avoid Harlem, try and do so lol.

Ummm, I was never a huge fan of NYC, but being only 20min away I've been there plenty of times. Only thing I'd really suggest that hasn't been suggested is hit up the NBA Store, I think it's on 5th Avenue. Awesome, awesome place for any NBA fan.

Really, NYC's lore is all about the atmosphere and culture. It is very, very different from anywhere you'll ever visit. It's always kind of overwhelmed me, but it definately is an experience.

PS- Try and go to a Yankee game. The new stadium is amazing...as is the team. One of a kind baseball experience.

I don't exactly know that area very well, only been there twice (and once was when I was 6, the other being last year). But I know there are plenty of subway lines all around the stadium that you can use to get there from where you're staying (maybe have to hop different subway lines to get there but shouldn't be a problem).

I wouldn't know, I went for 5 days around New Years and I couldn't see anything because there was a line for everything, including the wax museum I wanted to see. Couldn't even see the SOL because the line wrapped around the entire park all 5 days.

NYC is nice, especially the first time you see in at night, but its a massive blob of people, I couldn't stand it.

Yeah NYC is beautiful at night. Not just because of the Manhattan skyline (none anything close to it in the country), but because of the surrounding boroughs and NJ. The entire area for miles and miles and miles is just lights and people. It's pretty amazing.

I was just blown away, I live in Miami and I rarely go downtown [there is nothing to do there], so seeing all the lights and the skyline when I was on my way to the Lincoln Tunnel was amazing. It was also the first time I saw snow falling and felt it so I was also very happy with that, other than that, a whole lot of lines, traffic, and people.

I mean if you are a girl that loves to shop then its paradise, but there isn't much to do.

I am staying on St. Marks Place and third ave. i believe. I am looking at all the train stations and this [expletive] is confusing as hell. any help on that aspect?

Yankees arent home till Friday so you can't see a Yankee game. SRV mentioned the Wax museum, def try to check that out. However if you do stay there until Friday, 3rd avenue is right on the 4 train. If you catch the 4 train headed to the Bronx it will take you directly to Yankee Stadium. Really the subway is your best friend if you know how to use it. Especially because finding parking in Manhattan is insane.

just take the subways anywhere you go thats not walking distance. you're staying in St. Marks, thats in the village area, you'll like it there its for the youth and crazy lol.

dont hit up a wax museum thats a waste of time that every single city has, go to something unique and original. check out the Metropolitan Museum of Art on 82nd and 5th its uptown, its amazing there

honestly just walk around you'll always find something that catches your eye. theres a lot of nice restaurants and cafes in that area where they will look nice and you can tell its a nice place to eat, anywhere is a legit spot. hit up the trump restaurant in colombus circle if you wanna eat like a pimp haha amazing food there to. ask any questions you got here cuz i love the city and know it pretty well

Honestly if it is your first time going to NYC just walk around...you won't get bored trust me lol

Even when you're waiting for the subway a lot of times there are homeless people playing like the drums on like empty paint cans and [expletive]. Some are actually pretty good.

If you are over 21/have a legit fake, you have to check out the night life... one of the best in the world.

lmao one day waiting for F-train some homeless dude was asking for change and some people gave him some pennies and he took them and started throwing the pennies back at them saying "what the [expletive] am i supposed to do with pennies!? I want dollars!" Probably the funniest thing I've ever seen waiting for the subway

why not man, theres something for everyone. too many people make you weezy?

Well, for one thing, I go to school in a big city (Philadelphia), I live in New Jersey and have been going to NYC somewhat frequently for my entire life, so it doesn't really blow me away as it might somebody else. Like, if I lived in the country and had never seen a big city, I'd think it's really cool.

And yes, way too many people. And most of the city smells like urine.
