King III of the New York Post. King says the Mariners have already scouted the Yankees' Low A and Double A clubs and aim to watch their Triple A squad soon. King spoke to a "person familiar with Seattle's thought process" who believes Jack Zduriencik will seek Triple A shortstop Eduardo Nunez as well as one of the Yankees' minor league catchers. fish7718
That'd be dumb for the Yankees CC-Burnett-Pettitte-Vazquez-Hughes, who's the odd man out? Hughes who is 8-1 with 2.71?
Phightins
Journalism taking aim at the ignorant public at it's finest. Not once in there is there any solid proof connecting the Yankees and Cliff Lee. Just a quote from "someone familiar with Seattle's thought process" (which could be anyone), and a report that there were Mariners scouts attending low-A Yankee games (probably standard procedure). http://morganensberg.wordpress.com/2010/05/26/la-times-thinks-dodger-fans-are-stupid/ Read this blog post. Exactly what I am talking about.
Flash
I think we may just wait till FA and dish out the cash rather than give up a top prospect for Lee right now.

Javy's mid-5 ERA would move to long relief, I'd guess.
