Dash
Any hope of the Phoenix Suns re-signing Amar'e Stoudemire(notes) has vanished, according to ESPN.A source for the site says that Stoudemire, who will choose not to opt into a contract that would pay him around $17 million next year to stay in Arizona, isn't even considering re-signing a long-term deal at this point: "He is done," the source. "He's gone."The final nail in the coffin was the stepping down of general manager Steve Kerr, who Stoudemire's agent had begun conversations with. "Kerr wanted a little raise, (owner Robert) Sarver wanted him to take a pay cut," one source told the site. "There's no other way to spin it." Check my Stats
They are [expletive]ing idiots, he made it clear he wanted the max, and obviously they aren't giving him it.... they should have just taken Hickson and the first or Beasley. Or the Rockets deal, which would have actually been done had Phoenix just allowed Amare to take a physical.

Universe
I wouldn't say done but horrible timing by Suns owners if that's true.
Cleveland's Finest
No one will offer him a max contract. He's 28, and with a possible lockout and knowing his injury troubles and knowing that he's not a Bosh/LBJ/Wade, why does he deserve a max contract?
