reno
What console manufacturer would you rather have as the most powerful/easiest system to develop for next generation, Nintendo, Microsoft, or Sony? I personally would rather have nintendo, imagine having zelda as a graphics king again.
SRV
I don't want any new consoles. There is nothing they can't do to upgrade the ones they have now, as you can see that is the path they are taking now.

YugoRocketsFan
The next console wont come out for another 15+ years, with the way they can update the system it'll be here to stay for loooong, there wont be a Xbox 720 or PS4 for a long time. SRV
Exactly. They are adding things like move, kinect, and improving the hard drives and stuff. Instead of making a new system, they just update the current one and make more attachments and stuff. With all the things just be introduced, these systems aren't even close to full potential. I would say something ground breaking has to happen to make a brand new system, like we get sucked into the game [lol].
GamerGuy
These current systems are on a 10 year life cycle, and we're about half way through, more or less. I wouldn't be surprised in the least to see the next generation of systems come out in about 5-6 years. As for what system will be the strongest? No idea. If 3D TV catches on, you'll probably see that and more motion sensor type of involvement in the next gen systems, along with improved graphics. My brother is a game designer, and we're 3-5 years at the most from another generation. Whether or not there are huge improvements, new systems will come out in fairly short cycles anyway. Money is the main factor, and people WILL buy the new system when games stop coming out for their old ones.

I'd love to see you open up a console and put in a new cpu or graphics card. The consoles now can't keep up with PC games at all, a clear sign that the consoles have been maxed out and its time for new consoles. I also find it humorous that Nintendo went away from the hardcore market and everyone is now copying them after they saw the success. Casual market is drying out and Nintendo is headed back to the hardcore market right when everyone else is making a fail attempt at the casual market
fish7718
The next gen consoles should be virtual reality...
