Coach Doc Rivers said he has not made a decision about his future, but he revealed Monday he was leaning in one direction as he ponders whether to walk away from the Boston Celtics.

He did not, however, reveal which direction he was leaning.

Making his final appearance of the season on Boston sports radio WEEI (850 AM) on Monday morning, Rivers said that he has had just one conversation with his family about his future since the Finals ended with a Game 7 loss to the Los Angeles Lakers and they will sit down as a unit again in about a week to finalize his decision.........--ESPN

I think he realizes the gig is up in Boston.

I can see him taking off for 2 years and coaching in College. He seems to have a Tony Dungy impact on athletes.

Who's expected to leave Boston this summer? I just don't see Doc walking away from a roster like the Celtics'.

Ray Allen

Tony Allen

Marquis Daniels

Michael Finley

Nate Robinson

Brian Scalabrine

Shelden Williams

There's also questions about Rasheed Wallace retiring. That may play a part in Doc's decision.

I think Rasheed will retire for 10-11'. Then play for his hometown Sixers in 11-12'.

Was hoping TT would have become our coach if Doc decided to retire. I see Doc leaving coaching for a few years to be with his kids.

Kevin McHale is rumored to be the replacement according to HoopsHype.
