Built Ford Tough
Blazers have acquired the 34th pick from the Warriors for the 44th pick and cash. http://www.hoopsworld.com/Story.asp?story_id=16536 Well, ok, it is not a blockbuster. Who do you think the Blazers want at 34 that they don't think will be there at 44? I haven't really heard any rumors about Portland and who they like, but maybe they take a chance on somebody like Jarvis Varnardo, or some other specialist, and hope that their one really strong area will translate to the NBA? Guest STL10
Smart move by Portland. 34 could land them Willie Warren.
Flight
Don't be surprised if they get Quincy Pondexter if he's available. We like to draft northwest guys.

NomarFachix
maybe they take a chance on somebody like Jarvis Varnardo I wanted him in blue and orange... until I watched his pre-draft workout. Sooooo stiff. Reminds me a ton of Balkman.

Flight
Kings, Rockets, Hornets, Nets and now Blazers Any bets for next team? 2/1 Lakers9/4 Celtics/Cavaliers/Thunder20/1 Any other teamNets was for sim league since nobody knew who anyone was GMing, and Kings was for somewhere in the region of one day? The teams I support remain the same, why it matters that I change my icon I don't know. Edited June 22, 2010 by NoLookShot
Newman
A pick between 30-35 is always a good source for future helpful role players. Not a bad trade for the Blazers (obviously that depend on how much $$ they paid). EDIT: Just check on ESPN and they are saying that they paid 2m. I am a bit surprised at how high the price is as that is the salary of a mid-first round pick I believe. Two sources told ESPN.com that the Portland Trail Blazers paid the Golden State Warriors $2 million to move up 10 places when the teams made a trade Monday exchanging the 34th and 44th picks in the second round of Thursday's NBA draft.
