Owner Real Deal Posted June 23, 2010 Owner Report Share Posted June 23, 2010 Finally, it looks like the Bucks aren't done dealing. This afternoon they traded Dan Gadzuric and Charlie Bell to the Warriors for Corey Maggette. Now sources say that the Bucks and Nets are in serious negotiations on a deal that would send Chris Douglas-Roberts to the Bucks for a second round pick. With the addition of Maggette and Douglas-Roberts, you have to wonder if the Bucks may look at something other than a wing with the No. 15 pick in the draft.http://espn.go.com/blog/truehoop/post/_/id/16937/late-night-draft-buzz Hmm... Cleveland's Finest
If they get CDR I'd say Milwaukee is convinced Salmons won't come back or they don't want to pay him a lot. That'd be a good pick up for them in this deal. Now I think they need a reliable shooter for Bogut and Jennings to defer too. Whether that be Michael Redd or they sign a Mike Miller or Anthony Morrow, I'd say that's their last big need.
Guest STL10
http://espn.go.com/blog/truehoop/post/_/id/16937/late-night-draft-buzz Hmm... He is a clubhouse cancer, but a solid player.
Built Ford Tough
I think it is safe to say that the trade is pretty much a done deal. CDR has been posting "FTD" all over his Twitter account, which I assume stands for "Fear The Deer". I could be wrong and that has an entirely different meaning for him and it is merely a coincidence, but you can't help but notice the timing and think to yourself: Hmm... Check my Stats
CDR seems like a meathead.
Jenneral
First things first... it is highly unlikely Redd will ever play in a Bucks uniform ever again - or any uniform for that matter. Even if he were to make a miraculous comeback, he is not the answer. He is detrimental to the team and isn't as productive as he has been in year's past. If anything, the Bucks are hoping he comes back to allow them to trade his expiring contract away. As for this most recent trade discussion, I like it as long as long as it's only for second round draft picks. He was a fairly efficient scorer last season (44.5%) in his somewhat limited minutes for the Nets. This trade would really overflow the Bucks with forwards. Off the top of my head I think we would have CDR, Maggette, Mbah a Moute, Ilyasova, Delfino, Darnell Jackson and Jerry Stackhouse (FA). Dash
Why would the Nets do this? To save money for free agency? CDR is definitely worth more than just a second. Edited June 23, 2010 by Dash
xx.
Don't get the point of this, but either way its a good pick in the second round and this draft is very very deep. Plus we get to pick right before the Knicks and piss them off taking their player, hopefully we steal Lance Stephenson from them. wooooooo

Jenneral
Rumor has it that we just received CDR for our 44th pick (not originally ours). A guy on RealGM put this in a good way... by sending that pick for CDR we probably got way more value out of it than we would have by taking anyone from the draft. He's probably right. Jenneral
The Bucks will give New Jersey a future draft pick for Chris Douglas-Roberts, league source tells Yahoo! RealGM Note: In 2,314 career NBA minutes, Douglas-Roberts has a career PER of 11.7. The former Memphis Tigers swingman was the 40th overall pick in the 2008 Draft. Jonah
The Milwaukee Bucks have acquired guard Chris Douglas-Roberts (6-7, 210) from the New Jersey Nets for a future second round draft pick, General Manager John Hammond announced today. The Nets receive the 2012 second round draft pick that the Bucks acquired from Chicago in the John Salmons trade on February 18, 2010. After two years in the NBA, Douglas-Roberts has career averages of 7.9 points, 2.2 rebounds and 1.3 assists per game while shooting 44.9 percent from the field. During the 2009-10 season, Douglas-Roberts played 67 games, starting 38, with averages of 9.8 points, 3.0 rebounds and 1.4 assists in 25.8 minutes per game. He shot 44.5 percent from the field and 84.7 percent from the free throw line last season. His 84.7 percent mark from the free throw line ranked 21st in the league last year.
