He had 16 goals and 50 points in 65 games with the Habs. He should benefit from being out of the glare of the Montreal media and used as a second line center behind Ryan Getzlaf - this could actually increase his production, especially if he finds himself on the top power-play in Anaheim, which is a distinct possibility with his vision on the ice. Anyways this is a big pickup for the Ducks if Koivu can still be an impact player, not sure what he did last year didn't watch him very closely. fly3rs18 Posted July 13, 2009 Report Share Posted July 13, 2009 it is gonna be weird to see koivu in a different jersey, same thing with a few guys who got moved this year but i like the signing. they are loaded with young players, and koivu should compliment that pretty well. ducks are becoming a really good team.
