Built Ford Tough
The Warriors are talking to a number of teams about potential trades and it looks like the No. 6 pick in the draft is up for grabs. The cost, however is high. The Warriors want whoever takes the pick to take on the contract of Monta Ellis as part of the deal. If the Warriors keep the pick, they're deciding between Greg Monroe and Ekpe Udoh. My source continues to support what I wrote Tuesday night -- Udoh has the edge. http://espn.go.com/blog/truehoop/post/_/id/17022/wednesday-night-draft-chatter Umm... Where do I sign up? On a serious note though, you have to think that there is more to this. I can't see the Warriors simply trading away the 6th pick and Monta Ellis just to dump salary. It makes absolutely no sense. The Warriors have made some head scratching moves in the past, but this is just insane. Edited June 24, 2010 by Built Ford Tough
Cleveland's Finest
Cavs will be a major player for Ellis. Even if he isn't a "winner" which was the negative that was discussed on the ESPN Cleveland radio network.
Legacy
They should do Bosh (sign and trade) for Ellis and the 6th pick.
Guest STL10
This screams Orlando Magic to me. Vince Carter and #29 for Monta Ellis and #

Owner Real Deal Posted June 24, 2010 Owner Report Share Posted June 24, 2010 Good way to further cripple your franchise. Just use the pick and worry about Monta later. It's not like Ellis is a terrible player, either.

Mentch
This trade basically shows whether you like quantity or quality. Options: - Take a high-stock player that is signed to a high contract, with no guarantee of producing or achieving heights - Trade the high pick to another team in exchange for players that have a history of producing or potential picks that decrease your chance of missing on every pick and have much lower contracts Yep, I think I'll take quantity
