Flight
Scarcity. The main economic problem for everyone. JK, I hate that of all the things I learned in my AP Macro class. I'd say it all stems from the housing crash, which stems from Chinese investing in the US, and ruining credit, which is a huge web of things. Multi-Billionaire
The no 1 (at least according to Trump and Kiyosaki) is pension. This is not only in USA but also in the world's advanced countries. Think you won't spend as much when you're old as when you're young? Think again. When you're old you rack up bills a lot faster: medicines, age care facilities/ house... which is said to average $5000 a month... that's ONLY for one (1) person. Millions of baby boomers are starting to retire and they want their pensions. This is not only a problem, it's catastrophe. 2nd is mentality entitlement. This is a HUGE reason why people don't get rich... that's what separates the poor/middle-class and the rich. The former want to make sure government/ other people take care of them, while the rich don't want to rely on other people (about their future) but themselves. The 401(k) plan depends on the market... if the market crashes, your account is wiped out too.

fish7718
So you think the welfare system in America is a good thing?Yes I do, it helps out good families and people that really need it. Do other people get looped in that don't deserve it? Sure, put nothing is perfect.
Multi-Billionaire
^You don't know the millions who have invested in their retirement account but found their account wiped out because the market crashed and welfare couldn't keep up Millions of baby boomers have started to retire... if they need just $2000 (forget $5000) on average per month... how much does the government have to spend each month? 1,000,000 people x $2000 = $2,000,000,000 $2,000,000,000! And that's a modest number, since:- I'm discounting there's only 1,000,000 retiring baby boomers in US, I'd like to think there's more- I'm discounting each person only needs $2000, I'd like to think it's more when you're old, you'll need medicines, sometimes life-support and care services/ facilities that could financially cripple a healthy middle-aged full-time working man. I'd like to think it's more than $2000 for each person per month- It's $2,000,000,000 spending PER MONTH, not once-off, not per year... but PER MONTH. It's an epidemic. Flash
#7) Illegal Immigration- There are an estimated 30 million illegal immigrants now living in the United States. Not only is this a very serious economic burden, but it is a huge national security issue as well. Federal agents and local law enforcement officials along the border are now openly telling the media that they are outgunned, outmanned and are increasingly being shot at by the Mexican drug cartels that are openly conducting military operations inside the United States. There is now significant Latin American gang activity in almost every large and mid-size city in the United States. Meanwhile, Barack Obama continues to leave the border wide open. And people wanna roast Arizona for doing what they did too which is absurd. They're protecting their border and they can do whatever they want. Its the state's right to decide. Illegal Immigration is becoming a huge problem in this country and #7 is exactly correct when they say that its becoming a big economic burden. #10) Barack Obama’s Health Care “Reform” – Barack Obama’s pet project is actually the biggest tax increase in U.S. history, it is going to cause the premature retirement of thousands upon thousands of American doctors, and it is going to drive health insurance premiums through the roof. Health insurance companies are going to do very well (they actually helped write the bill), but the rest of us are going to be absolutely crushed by this brutal legislation. So what will happen when the U.S. healthcare system implodes? Of course its gonna kill the economy but who cares?

I just don't see why it should be a burden on our families to basically pay for these people.
fish7718
The thing is Welfare is also protects better off families. What do you think would happen to America is even just 25% of the people receiving welfare were cut off? They would go out and commit crimes and create more slums and make the imbalance of rich to poor even worse in the country.

Flash
Besides it being blatantly racist, it's not the only STUPID thing Arizona has done lately. Legalizing loaded guns in bars? How is it blatantly racist? It applies to anyone police stop. White, black, hispanic or whatever they may be. They need to protect their border because the increase in crime due to the Mexican drug cartels is getting out of hand. It may not be "politically correct", but its the right thing to do and more states should follow their lead.
