Guest STL10
David Kahn admitted on Friday that he is exploring a trade of Al Jefferson and the likelihood of a trade increases if the Wolves re-sign Darko Milicic. "It's the right time finally for us to explore this," Kahn said of a possible Jefferson trade. "I've met with Al and discussed this. If Darko comes back, there could be a need to create some playing time. We really need to get our front line settled."--Pioneer Press LINK Edited June 26, 2010 by STL10

xx.
That was everyone's draft board basically and most teams would have took him at 2 as well. Darko is a lot cheaper and they have a lot of guys in the frontcourt so they rotation and playing time wouldnt make sense. Obviously you can get a lot more in return for Al Jefferson so they can get some solid guards in return for him. Darko finally got some playing time this season and got a chance and showed good performance
Poe
Personally, I'd look to keep both Al Jefferson and Darko Milicic, and trade Kevin Love instead for a good shooter at the 2... like OJ Mayo lol. A front court of Milicic and Love wouldn't be too bad, either. I like the direction of this team overall.
Newman
Just in terms of their playing position and not by ability, Darko is a better fit to Kevin Love than Big Al as he can play a center better. Ignoring his draft position Darko can be a good role player and if the Wolves are sticking to K-Love, Big Al is the one to go. Don't forget they have Ryan Hollins as another center they can use as well.
Lone Wolf
Jefferson isn't a passer, but Love is. Pekovic might come to Minnesota this year, too. I like what Milicic brought to the team, last year. He just needs to work on his stamina and hook-shot. Hopefully, he's willing to do so. He was happy with the Wolves, after all.
