NomarFachix
I just don't see the logic of Portugal getting lucky. But to each his own.
YugoRocketsFan
I just don't see the logic of Portugal getting lucky. But to each his own. Yeah I know, if Ivory Coast is that much better than Portugal they would have beaten them.
Need4Sheed
In 2006, Ivory Coast got a bit unlucky -- they were drawn in the same group with some of the best teams in the history of sport: Argentina, Netherlands and Serbia/Montenegro. They narrowly lost to Argentina (1-2), and 'The Orange Machine' (1-2). In their last game they were down 0-2 to Serbia & Montenegro, but fought back and won 3-2 (without Didié' Drogbá!). I favor them so much 'cause they deserve a big stage trophy. Sadly, they got robbed in the Africa Cup of Nations -- the ref disallowed a legal goal in an elimantion game against Algeria.. <_< Drogbá is 32. Abdúl-Kadér Keïtá is 30 or 31. The window's closing for them. The next world Cup is in 2014. This could be their last World Cup... This 'ship was on their continent... It was supposed to be the tournament of their lives. LOL I wasnt talking just about Ivory Coast. Your missing the point so I give up. I even tried to come right out and ask the bare bones question instead of hinting at it. Sħãlïq™
Yeah I know, if Ivory Coast is that much better than Portugal they would have beaten them.IVORY COAST PLAYED ONE HALF WITHOUT THEIR BEST PLAYER -- DROGBA'S ARM WAS BROKEN IN A FRIENDLY WITH JAPAN JUST A WEEK BEFORE THE WORLD CUP. HE PLAYED WITH SOME PROTECTION BUT WASN'T 100% RECOVERED. I WISH I COULD SEE PORTUGAL PLAYING ONE HALF WITH AN INJURED CRISTIANO RONALDO. If Ivory Coast played Portugal with a healthy Drogba, they would have beaten Portugal.

Sħãlïq™
I just don't see the logic of Portugal getting lucky. But to each his own. I'm saying Portugal got lucky because they didn't play Brazil in their second game. This is Brazil's group: BrazilNorth KoreaRandom Team A (Portugal)Random Team B (insert any team here) GAME 1 (a.k.a anxiety - it's a debut game, a World Cup opener):- Brazil beats N. Korea- Random Team A and Random Team B draw. Brazil: 3 PTSRandom Team A (Portugal): 1 PTRandom Team B (insert any team here): 1 PTNorth Korea: 0 PTS GAME 2:- A FULL-FORCE-Brazil GIVES 110% TO BEAT its opponent (Random Team B), and secure a spot in the Round of 16.- Random Team A beats North Korea. Brazil: 6 PTSRandom Team A (Portugal): 4 PTSRandom Team B (insert any team here): 1 PTNorth Korea: 0 PTS GAME 3: (Brazil is through -- no need to win at any cost)-Brazil, WITHOUT three of their best plrs (Kaká, Robinho, Elano), draw with Random Team A as there's no need to win this game.-Random Team B beat North Korea in a game that becomes senseless because Brazil and 'Random Team A' mutually agree decide to draw the game as it benefits both parts. Brazil: 7 PTSRandom Team A (Portugal): 5 PTSRandom Team B (insert any team here): 4 PTNorth Korea: 0 PTS I am tryinna show you guys, that you can take any decent World Cup team and put in 'Random Team A's position -- and they would've made it. NomarFachix
Can I say that USA would have beaten Ghana if Charlie Davies never got into a car accident? Ivory Coast got knocked out because they didn't play well enough. Stop making excuses.
Cobb
Ivory Coast could've played better in their other games but it's unlucky Brazil played Portugal in their last game.

You and your 'ZOMG, Shaliq only roots for black teams'-theory failed. So Stop whinin', Pail. Are USA and NZL 'black' African countries? Practice?! Sħãlïq™
Ivory Coast could've played better in their other games but it's unlucky Brazil played Portugal in their last game.My thoughts exactly. And can't agree w/ Cotton that 'Ivory Coast got knocked out because they didn't play well enough'. Yeah, Ivory Coast should've beaten Portugal in the opener BUT they DIDN'T play worse than Portugal. Gotta agree w/ Cobb hee -- Portugal didn't by any means play better than Ivory Coast but got to play a weakened Brazil squad in their last game. And that proved to make a big difference. That was a HUGE advantage for Portugal. Edited June 29, 2010 by Shaliq

You didn't like the answer and got mad. It seems to me that you:either have no idea exactly what do yo want in general,or you don't know how to put a question. And my answers are NOT 'crap'. And they make a lot of sense to everyone but 'N4S'. In fact, you're the one not making any sense for the majority of time. And, get ti right, I'll even put it in bolds for you, I am not trying to convince anyone anything.
