If you were Bosh, where would you go and play? If you were picking, who would you rather play for and what other main FA? It seems like he is the key sidekick to get to the finals. He has stated he wants to be the main guy, but is Bosh able to do so?

I think Wade and Miami makes the most sense. you have the same chance to win with Wade who's proven he can lead a team to a title but won't completely overshadow him like the LeBron hype machine would. Bosh would take a backseat to LeBron and maybe even Derrick Rose in Chicago but in Miami he'd be looked at as more important IMO and he's said that he wants to win and be "the man" and I think Miami gives him a bit of both.

I would go to chicago. The opportunity to play for my team would make me water. The chance to get to play with derrick rose, lebron james, noah, and head coach Tom Thibodeau would seal the deal. The bulls would have such a young/strong nuclei, they would be contenders for the next decade.

How bout the Nuclear Option in New York baby. The Big 3 in New York would be LeBron, Wade, & Bosh.

That can't happen, unless they all take much less, or the Knicks end up dealing EVERYONE or buying them out.

At that point, you will probably win just 50 games with Bron, Wade and Bosh...but that's mainly because your other players will be Omar Cook, Pavel Podkolzine, Tierre Brown and Shammond Williams.

I asked this in the Knicks forum, haven't seen it answered yet... If the Knicks were to S&T Chandler and Curry for one of them (likely Joe Johnson), would that free up enough cap room for two more?

Yes, it's basically keeping the same payroll if you work the sign-and-trade deal, because you'll still have what you have now, and that's enough money to offer two max deals.

This might be what's behind the JJ to the Knicks at 12:01 rumors I'm hearing, it would make too much sense not to pursue. Far from likely, but an optimist can wish, right?!

EDIT: Thanks for the info, B

That could always be the plan, but New York has to realize that it could prove to be a fatal mistake.

C - none

PF - none

SF - Gallinari | Walker

SG - Johnson (FA) | Douglas

PG - Rodriguez

Once you make that trade, you have that. If you were LeBron or Wade (or Bosh), would you be tempted to sign with a team containing a roster of five players? Literally...just five, with so many question marks as to who they will sign before the start of the season? Bosh wouldn't, because he would look at it and realize he would probably have to play center, something he stated multiple times he doesn't want. LeBron sees that Gallinari is starter-material, and playing him at the four means James doesn't have a post scorer to go to. Wade won't run the point, and Johnson wants the two...so there's another problem.

At the end of the day, I think the idea to trade everything you have to bring in the superstars won't work. Miami has Beasley and Chalmers retained, and Bird Rights on Dwyane Wade. That covers three positions in the starting five already, and with an option to bring back Anthony (who's a decent defensive big man) and picking up the big men they did in the draft (which was an excellent idea), Bosh will more than likely be satisfied with what they are trying to build there.

I think the Knicks just hit a brick wall when these stronger, more developed and potentially dangerous teams starting making room...and last year, I had this gut feeling it was going to happen.

Sergio's gone, I think to Real Madrid.

We will see, only a few more days to go. I will hope. All I can do.

That makes things even worse. Four players (assuming they were to make that trade).

It would've been nice if the Knicks had that first-rounder this year.

Paul George

Cole Aldrich

Ed Davis

Xavier Henry

Those guys, and a few others, would've helped attract free agents. Especially George.

I hate the Lakers, but if I were Bosh, I'd go there. Push for a trade. What better situation (assuming winning 'ship is Bosh's #1 priority when the money is all the same everywhere).

Obviously Bulls with Rose, Noah, and LeBron sounds like a no-brainer.

But I do think with Kobe, Pau, Artest, Fisher and Jackson... it's even better since they've proven they can win champs. A must condition is: Phil returns to coach.

I'd also look at Denver...

Possible crunch time lineup, but I understand your point, and no. Bosh is much better than Jamison.

Well, it would make sense for them to bring Jamison off the bench, but that only cuts into the time they can play Varejao. That three-headed logjam at the four would be tough to figure out.

Varejao could always move to the five as a natural position, but I think that takes away a lot of his game on both ends of the court, not to mention makes the Cavaliers undersized.

Go to the Bulls with LeBron

PG: Rose

SG:Deng

SF:LeBrno

PF:Bosh

C:Noah

Those are 3 all-stars and 2 future all-stars.

This is a play-off team, possibly even a championship team.

Thats not a championship team. Unless you put some shooters around Lebron. If he is on the floor with Rose, Deng, and Noah, teams will pack the paint and Lebron will be forced to shoot jumpers, contested jumpers.

Yes, but it would also lend Cleveland more flexibility with their lineups, allow them to move LeBron around, and give them more incentive to small ball, which is exactly the kind of offensive injection the team lacked this postseason. Varejao (who is hardly undersized at 6'11") can play both big spots and he will get his minutes.

On basketball-reference he's listed at 6'10'', 230lbs. The 230lbs part is the bigger issue playing at Center. It isn't like he's Dennis Rodman or Charles Barkley on the boards, either. A major issue if you're playing LA or Orlando.
