The Regime
LOS ANGELES (Reuters) - Actor Steve Carell is tendering his resignation as the egotistical boss Michael Scott of "The Office", and leaving the hit TV comedy show next year. Carell told Us Magazine that he would be leaving paper company Dunder Mifflin at the end of the upcoming TV season, in May 2011. "Yes, it will be my last," Carell, 47, told UsMagazine.com while promoting his movie "Despicable Me". "It's the last (season) on my contract, and I want to honor my contract." http://omg.yahoo.com/news/steve-carell-resigning-from-the-office-next-year/43076?nc

bigdog17k
He leaves and they continue it will die slow. He's basically the life of the show.
JWaLL
This show is done, it'll be like Zach Braff leaving Scrubs. They'll attempt the season for a few episodes and when they see how much it sucks it's gonna end fast. Goodbye Michael Scott.
fish7718
This has been a long time coming he's been saying he probably won't renew his contract, can't wait for the finals season .
Flash
He'll end up renewing after this new movie flops and he doesn't get too many good movie offers.
Dash
I watched a bit of this season and its a bunch of crap, honestly the only time I bother watching this show anymore is when reruns of the earlier seasons are on. If Carell leaves then that is the dagger, meaning ts time to can it.
Dr. Feelgood
Maybe for the new regional manager, they should try and get the dude from the English Office, Ricky Gervais. That might be interesting. If not, the show is probably done.
