Dash
Dwyane Wade is working to schedule free-agency interviews with assorted NBA teams and two sources tell one of his hometown papers that the Dallas Mavericks are one of the three clubs on his planned appointment list. The story from respected Heat beat writer Ira Winderman of the Sun-Sentinel delivers two pieces of Wade news: One is that Wade and the Heat are hopeful of “pulling off a free-agency coup of landing himself, LeBron James and Chris Bosh.’’ But Winderman writes that his source, as well as a second NBA sources, says Wade “also plans to cover himself during the initial days of the free-agency negotiating period by scheduling interviews with the Knicks, Bulls and, in somewhat of a surprise, the Dallas Mavericks.’’No surprise in these parts, of course, where the Mavs’ plan has always been to present The Sales Pitch to James and Wade and the rest. http://www.dallasbasketball.com/fullColumn.php?id=3187
