No one wants Beasley from Miami

The Heat are still trying to deal forward Michael Beasley in order to create more cap space, but Ken Berger of CBS Sports reports that a trade is unlikely to happen.

"They literally can't give him away right now," a person with knowledge of the situation told Berger. "No one is going to take that money on their cap."

Miami would be able to create additional cap space if they are able to deal Beasley's $4.9 million contract.

Both New Jersey and Minnesota are believed to have recently turned down offers from Miami that included Beasley.

The Heat waived James Jones on Tuesday, creating an additional $300,000 in cap space.--CBS Sports

IMO the Jazz should look into acquiring him.

It's hard to party in Utah....

Pretty pathetic, to be honest. The lower-payroll teams are throwing everything away for LeBron, Wade and Bosh...while the higher-payroll teams (who are already over the cap) are more worried about profits and trimming salary.

It doesn't help that Beasley has had off-court issues and hasn't exactly shown he's worthy of that second pick in the draft, but then again, he really hasn't had the opportunity in Miami.

IMO Utah would be PERFECT for him. They're losing Boozer and he can't party in Utah.

I think the Jazz should trade for him and hope he is a solid starter or sixth man.

Riley was quoted as saying he'd gotten plenty of calls about Beasley but said we won't be dealing him. I had also heard that there was an offer on the table with Indiana giving us number 10 in a deal for Beasley and something else.

There's no chance in hell that nobody wants him because he's too talented not to take a chance on. He averaged 15 and 6 on 29 mpg this year. Boost that up to around 35 and you'll see him put up great numbers.

Someone on the Knicks ESPN board suggested (if the Knicks look to be getting no FA's) giving a 2nd for Beasley and 4 consecutive 1st round picks... All so the Heat could afford three max.

I honestly question how some people in the world can be so outrageously asinine.

I'm surprised the Wizards haven't gone after him. I think he'd be better than Yi would be for us to be honest.

Same. I think being closer to home would do a lot for him but he'd also fit in very well on that team. I'd gladly take Randy Foye off your hands.

What Flash said. I don't believe anything unless it's coming out of Riley's mouth, or when pen is actually put to paper. The Heat are very unlikely to deal Beasley. They aren't throwing away the 2nd overall pick like that.

You still can take him off our hands, he isn't resigning with us.

Oh he's on the market? He's perfect for our system. Someone who can shoot the 3 and play next to Wade is really all we need at the PG spot.
