Johnson Johnson The Hawks and Johnson's representatives met Thursday morning in Los Angeles. Since Johnson cannot sign until July 8, he'll give other teams the courtesy of hearing them out. But unless a team completely blows him away, Johnson will take the Hawks' offer, the sources said. Offering this guy a 6 year max deal at 29 years old is no way to run a franchise. If I'm the Hawks I'm letting him go, and if that means we don't make the playoffs next season... so be it. I'd rather have some money to play with in the future.The clowns we have running the show are satisfied with making the playoffs and getting swept in the second round.
