Flash
• Trying to cover his bases with the top free agents, Pat Riley has planned a meeting with Phoenix Suns free agent power forward Amare Stoudemire on Thursday in Los Angeles and also plans to meet with Utah Jazz free agent power forward Carlos Boozer. • Stoudemire's camp believes he is Miami's number 2 power forward choice behind Bosh. But Boozer's camp was left with the impression that he is Miami's No. 2 power forward choice behind Bosh. Boozer, who would love to sign with Miami, will meet with the Heat, Knicks, Nets and Bulls. Stoudemire will meet with multiple teams. • A confidante of Suns free agent Stoudemire said he cooled on the Heat last week because he was disappointed he was not Miami's No. 1 power forward choice. But Stoudemire was pleased to learn that Miami wants to meet with him at the start of free agency and is eager to hear what the team has to say. • The reports of James possibly joining the Heat fueled a significant spike in Heat season ticket sales and local Internet traffic the past two days. Following a more definitive report by Stephen A. Smith, ESPN said Tuesday the Heat is the favorite for James but that James has been ``non-committal'' in discussions with Wade. The Cleveland Plain Dealer reported Tuesday that the Cavs have the edge. Flash
Boozer has reportedly sold his house in Coconut Grove so idk what to think there. Starting to look like Amare is the new focus as Wojo from Yahoo is reporting that Wade has told some people that he wants to recruit a big man. Not LeBron. @WojYahooNBA Dwyane Wade told two associates in past 24 hours that his focus is on recruiting a big man (Bosh, Amar'e, Boozer) to Miami now, not LeBron. SRV
Jesus these reporters are all over the place. I can be a reporter and just make some BS story and hope it happens. Stephen A Smith pretty much swore on his grave that we were getting Lebron and Bosh, and now every reporter is saying Lebron is going to the Nets, Bulls, or Cavs. I am just gonna wait for an official story, clearly these guys are making stories just to get some attention. Flash
Update on the Boozer thing. Just spoke to my pops and he said Boozer's had that place sold for a while and he's looking for a rental here in Miami because he runs everything of his out of Miami. I think if he does sign with us he'll buy another place though.
Owner Real Deal Posted July 1, 2010 Owner Report Share Posted July 1, 2010 Wade is a smart man. Recruit a scoring big that can rebound the ball (all-star caliber, look for that 20/10), then build a TEAM around those two. Laying the foundation for three superstars and 10-11 minimum contracts is insane. If Pierce, Allen, Rondo, Garnett and Perkins couldn't get it done with good role players (Nate, Baby, Sheed, Allen), you can't sell the farm and risk ruining careers with James, Wade and [insert big here]. Agreed. The Big 3 talk is a pipe dream and we all had fun with it yesterday and today, reality set in. I'm for bringing in Amare or Boozer and then going out and signing maybe Rudy Gay or some other solid players. It gives us more flexibility to build a roster. EastCoastNiner
Keep getting your hopes up. . There's ZERO chance James, Wade, AND Bosh play together. There's no way LeBron would play with Wade either.

EastCoastNiner
Reading comprehension FTL. I already read the many posts you Heat fans and the media have been touching each other over for months. Now, reality has sunk in, and you know you're not getting LeBron. You never will, and never were.

Flash
Well here are a couple morning updates: @Adam_Schefter Well, that didn't take long. Chris Bosh already has received presentations from Houston, Toronto, Chicago, Miami - with more to come today. @STEIN_LINE_HQ Quite an off-the-bat itinerary for Heat prez Pat Riley in LA on Day 1 of free agency: Separate sitdowns w/Amare, Boozer and Joe Johnson
Flash
So Wade + O'Neal + Beasley = 47 win team, but Wade + Bosh + Max = 45? My answer: I thought that was hilarious. If Wade and the Tito's can win 47 games I'm pretty sure Wade, Bosh and LeBron will win more. Assclown. Edited July 1, 2010 by Flash

If Wade and the Tito's can win 47 games I'm pretty sure Wade, Bosh and LeBron will win more. Assclown. What the hell do you expect Morey to say? He is trying to sell his team to Bosh just like every other GM is going to try and sell their team to him and every other free agent that they are interested in. Of course he is going to say something to make his team look more appealing than competitors. What do you want Morey to tell Bosh that he should sign in Miami and not even consider Houston? Yeah, what an assclown he is. How dare he try and sell Houston to Bosh and say something negative about the almighty Heat. Flash
Ok here's what I've heard fro today. - Riley had a very good meeting with Bosh but was unable to secure an early commitment according to most people. - The pitch to Amare was about playing with Wade and Bron but we left without offering him a deal - Riley had a great meeting with Boozer apparently. I think he's our number 2 guy behind Bosh.
