Owner Real Deal Posted July 1, 2010 Owner Report Share Posted July 1, 2010 Can other front offices hold meetings with players NOT in free agency? Carmelo is still under contract with the Nuggets, so I don't see how the Knicks can meet with him, even if his contract is up in a year. Nitro
Yeah I'm pretty sure that's tampering. But honestly, Melo is their best shot at getting a true superstar in the next few years. Now that Nuggets are willing to field offers, it's the perfect time to pull the trigger.
Multi-Billionaire
[expletive] my life... As lazy, diva, joking, smiling he is, Melo is a winner, you can almost guarantee the Knicks in playoffs if he's on the team. I like Gallo but [expletive] him, not for Melo smhiud
Flash
Melo going to NY isn't going to get them Wade and I'm pretty sure you can't meet with a player that's under contract. That's called tampering.
fish7718
All I know is, you just don't put a beautiful piece of property on sale like that unless you know you are moving out of town...
Got Favors?
All I know is, you just don't put a beautiful piece of property on sale like that unless you know you are moving out of town... Or you have a crazy ex-girlfriend..... Melo to the Knicks would be insane. Melo to NY is rumors, Lebron to NJ is rumors, but you could imagine the aging Celtics, a Wade-Melo Knicks, and a Lebron-Lopez-Harris Nets battling it out? Owner Real Deal Posted July 1, 2010 Owner Report Share Posted July 1, 2010 We've seen this stuff before, though...players selling houses, and then they stay with their teams for another 2-3 years. You can't be surprised if he doesn't get traded.
kingfish
Melo for GALLO? Are the Nuggets retarded? Edited July 1, 2010 by kingfish
Got Favors?
Melo for GALLO? Are the Nuggets retarded? There has to be more to the trade, but yeah, if it is just Melo for Gallo, then the Nuggets Front Office just took a [expletive] on their franchise. CaliCurbStomppa
If Melo goes to Knicks or anywhere then thats my new team
Newman
Unless Melo has suddenly lost his right hand, he is the best small forward in the NBA except for LeBron. It would be suicidal for the Nuggets to trade him now, especially if the trade above is 1 for 1.
moeroadkill
Unless Melo has suddenly lost his right hand, he is the best small forward in the NBA except for LeBron and Durant. It would be suicidal for the Nuggets to trade him now, especially if the trade above is 1 for 1.fixed surely the nuggets can get a better offer than galo i still think melo will make his way over to the knicks within a year or 2 Edited July 1, 2010 by MoeRoadKill
