Guest STL10
The hot rumor was Jack and Bosh for Odom and Bynum on July 1st. Since then the talks have died and Bosh has moved on. He wants to play with 2nd or 3rd best players in the NBA, but not the best? Why isn't he or the Lakers pushing for each other?
YugoRocketsFan
That trade wouldnt make sense. Lakers have faith in Bynum and not to mention Gasol and Bosh arent capable of playing the Center position, the Lakers having 2 tall big men make them much more dangerous. Guest STL10
I'm guessing you didn't watch the 2008 NBA Finals. Yeah, Bynum didn't play and is injury prone. Edited July 7, 2010 by STL10

Bosh weighs 230 pounds, Bynum weighs 285. Bynum plays in the post 100% of the time while Gasol is an outside player, which makes them a good duo. The Artesticle
Yeah, Bynum didn't play and is injury prone. You didn't see Gasol get completely dominated and overwhelmed at center? Or do you need glasses.

Bosh is nicked up, but never truly injured. Bynum has missed several games over the past 3 seasons.

He's the 2nd best PF in the NBA behind Dirk, and has a very complete game.
kingfish
Why trade Bynum? Sure hes been injured often, but his injuries were freak accidents, the only legit one was the meniscus and he played through it pretty well I might add. Hes a 7 foot mobile shot blocking center, with a great back to the basket game and still a ton of potential. We aint tradin that, you can find Chris Bosh in the draft every year, and you can find guys to match up with Bosh. You cant find anyone to match up with Bynum, hes a mismatch for anyone in the league not named Dwight.

Duncan > Bynum fits the Lakers better because he is a true big man, he plays in the post, he rebounds, he blocks shots and doesnt get abused by the likes of Dwight Howard or Amare. Bosh is just another scorer who would have trouble defending guys like Dwight or Amare. Bosh is a PF but he isnt a big man. I cant explain it anymore clearer than that and I am sure all Lakers fans would agree that they wouldnt do the trade.

It's easier to find a good defending center rather than an elite PF. The Lakers could sign Shaq if they wanted to guard Dwight Howard. Stats prove Shaq dominates Dwight. This isnt NBA 2K10, plus if its not broken dont fix it, the Lakers already have 2 rings with Bynum @ C.

I'm pretty sure Bynum had little effect on the 2009 NBA Finals. People overrated Bynum so much it isn't even funny. He dissapears in big games like Game 5 of this year's Finals.
