Jonah
Its going to be one hell of a 48 hour period. If Lebron comes to NY its almost a sure thing that Melo will follow next year. If He doesnt come I still see Melo Coming.

NomarFachix
Give Felton a one year MLE and let him boost his [expletive] for next year
Jonah
Give Felton a one year MLE and let him boost his [expletive] for next year Or sign and trade for Parker. Parker or Felton/DouglasChandler/RautinsLebron/chandlerGallo/AmareAmare/Barron/Jordan That lineup would make the playoffs for sure. Also they could play bigger like this parkerlebrongalloamarebarron/jordan that would be a fun lineup too
NomarFachix
I'm just holding my breath and not saying [expletive] until tomorrow night. I have a habit of jinxing things. Please, NBA Gods, help a brotha out.

I see a strong possibility of an offseason trade going down to acquire him.
JYD
I just don't see LeBron coming to N.Y. to be honest...I just have this really weird feeling he's going back to Cleveland....with that said, I DO think that Bosh and Wade going back to MIA helps the cause though. Dr. Feelgood
I don't think you can use an MLE if you're UNDER the cap. The MLE and LLE are for teams OVER the cap I believe. I could be wrong.

That is correct, but the Knicks will be over the cap if they get LeBron.
YugoRocketsFan
That is correct, but the Knicks will be over the cap if they get LeBron. Actually I think you have the MLE still if you're under the cap.
fish7718
Nah I think feelgood is right I think you must enter FA with less cap space than the expected MLE in order to use it Edited July 7, 2010 by Fish7718
Dr. Feelgood
Once a year, teams are allowed to sign a player to a contract equal to the average NBA salary, even if the team is over the salary cap already, or if the signing would put them over the cap. This is known as the Mid-level exception (MLE). The MLE may be used on an individual free agent or split among multiple free agents, and is available to any team that exceeds the salary cap at the beginning of the offseason. The Mid-Level Exception for the 2008-09 NBA season was $5.585 million. The MLE is $5.854 million for the 2009-10 NBA regular season. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/NBA_Salary_Cap#Mid-level_exception According to Wikipedia.
