Doc
I was reading on RealGM and apparently, a radio station said that Shaq would sign the min to play in Miami.

Cobb
I'm not surprised. Patt Riley should be receiving a BUNCH of calls this weekend.
Check my Stats
He isn't close to what they need, he is useless to them.... he is nothing more than a big body... they need a Center who can finish inside of 3 feet off a crisp LBJ/Wade pass and can hit the boards, maybe block a shot or two and body up on Dwight... they don't need Shaq and his stupid ego. kingfish
I actually think he would fit in nicely. But doubt it happens.
bigdog17k
Shaq is a big annoying dumbass now. Of course he wants to join "the party."

Legacy
I hope he does. Man, the Lakers vs Heat games would be crazy. ESPN would be hyping them till no end.
YugoRocketsFan
No surprise, I will definitely watch every Heat game, watching these guys will be like watching Harlem Globetrotter games.
SRV
Please don't. We will be above the normal hatred level.
Owner Real Deal Posted July 9, 2010 Owner Report Share Posted July 9, 2010 Please don't. We will be above the normal hatred level. That shouldn't be the concern. I think you're probably already there (welcome, by the way). Shaq is even older. Every year he ages, he gets exposed more and more in pick and roll situations. I think this is a terrible move, especially because outside of Wade and James, the Heat may not have much defense to fall back on.
Nitro
Eh, he still attracts some defensive attention, and can still finish around the basket and shoot a high %. He also causes problems for Dwight Howard, who will be one of their primary nemesis' over the next few years.
Guest STL10
He's too slow for that offense.

YugoRocketsFan
Who says Shaq had to play starter minutes?
SRV
Shaq will ruin the flow, he starts [expletive]ing if he doesn't get the ball, and well be shooting even more FT's than we are with Wade and Lebron. He is always in foul trouble too. I mean, if its for the minimum then ok, but he can't come in expecting to be a key player.
Owner Real Deal Posted July 9, 2010 Owner Report Share Posted July 9, 2010 Who says Shaq had to play starter minutes?Bosh says so. He refuses to play the five, and if he has to, that will be a major issue down the road.
