Owner Real Deal Posted July 9, 2010 Owner Report Share Posted July 9, 2010 Nets and Knicks. I would say Chicago, but they are a playoff team with the addition of Boozer (and they were anyway). Amare doesn't make the Knicks a playoff team, and they cleared their roster for LeBron...traded away a TON of picks over the last few years, also. New Jersey came out with nothing. Cleveland Cavaliers.Of course.
SRT Spidey
Cleveland, followed closely behind by NY. Both in nba hell right now
JYD
The Cavs are the biggest loser. They lost THEIR guy. That always looks bad, and now their team is basically going to be from the top to the bottom of the east. The Knicks and Bulls are in the same position to me. Both wanted LeBron, or even Wade BADLY, but still got a solid big man and still have some cap room left. The Nets are, well, being the Nets, and not doing much of anything... Dash
Knicks. I'm really liking those picks right now.

Nitro
I would say the Nets, but they still have plenty of cap room, young talent and can maybe try to pry Melo/Paul away from their respective teams, or just wait until next offseason. The Travis Outlaw signing was horrible, though. Undoubtedly the Cavs had the worst offseason, though. Ouch.
kingfish
Ill go a different route. Phoenix Suns, Utah Jazz. The West has gotten a lot weaker.
Cobb
I'll go with the Knicks. Amare isn't THAT much of an upgrade over Lee. It'll be interesting to see how he does with Nash.
SRV
The Knicks got Amare, and essentially Melo. I think the Nets lost out.

kingfish
LakersAre you kidding me? They are the WINNERS of this free agency.
YugoRocketsFan
Suns and Jazz losing 2 good players really makes me happy. I hope the Hornets lose CP3. I'll be rooting for the Rockets hard this year, the East will be much better next year though, and I am happy about it because it benefits the Rockets. EastCoastNiner
The Knicks got Amare, and essentially Melo. I think the Nets lost out. And, what exactly makes you think Melo will go to New Jersey? He could fit in great on the Nets and Prokorov will try everything to get him, and the Nets could deal Devin Harris+ if they need to in order to get CP3. And that's obviously not final either...
JWaLL
Cleveland and New Jersey. Toronto isn't looking too "in shape" for this upcoming season.
Guru
lmao at people saying NJ, we have a nice young core. Sure we didn't sign anyone huge but we have a better roster than the Cavs who are completely [expletive]ed.
EastCoastNiner
He didn't say he was goin to NJ he said to NY. And that's obviously not final either... I know he said New York, but Brooklyn is close enough, and will have a new arena. Harris, Lopez, Favors, Anthoney, and SG is better than anything the Knicks could offer Melo, and I'm not trying to hate on the Knicks. fish7718
How was NY losers We added Randloph Azibuike Turiaf and Amar'e and still have a lot of cap space, NY is a winner so far in FA, Losers: ClevelandNJPhoenixToronto
EastCoastNiner
New York aren't the losers of Free-Agency. It definitely has to be the Cavs.
Multi-Billionaire
Cavs are the losers and Dan further proves it by issuing a statement only a loser can make. Nets are next losers in terms of not bringing any free agent, Outlaw for $7 mil a season, really? When there's still Mike Miller? Knicks can be called losers if they only sign Amare... I really believe Amare signing is done purely to entice LeBron to sign. Had the Knicks known LeBron is gonna go to Heat, I don't think they would have offered Amare 100 mil for 5 years... I think they would at least try to bargain. Knicks thought Amare would bring LeBron, that's why they acted quickly (before teams like Nets or Bulls did)... and they did... but result is result, you didn't get LeBron, you get low rank/ loser mark. Bulls are not losers but they should be disappointed. I agree with Jon Barry that LeBron-Boozer-Rose-Noah-Luol-Taj would form a deadlier team than current Heat team. Bulls were already one of the top rebounding teams before they added Boozer's 10+ rpg, how LeBron did not see this I don't know. Look at the Heat... who's gonna rebound besides Bosh? What happens if Bosh's frail body gets injured? And Jermaine O'Neal for quickly bolting Heat for Celtics... lmao. He picked the wrong Big 3.
