Owner Real Deal Posted July 9, 2010 Author Owner Report Share Posted July 9, 2010 They also want Mike Miller, so they will have to take less.Yeah, but Mike Miller wouldn't accept the full MLE for five years. Why would he accept anything less?

SRV
I am sure Riley traded him for picks for some reason, I am guessing somehow we could have money to sign another player. Not sure how much less money bosh, wade, and lebron are gonna sign for.

fish7718
So 2nd overall pick by Miami in 2008 and now they give him away for a 2nd, god i hope this plan backfires on them and Beasley becomes incredible

Dash
STUPID WOLVES. I'm sure the picks are protected, but still...that's stupid. As long as the first is lotto protected then its still a great move by the Timberwolves.
JWaLL
A recent 2nd overall pick being traded for a 2nd ROUND pick? Ouch... goodbye Beasley's career.
Nitro
Yikes...definitely should have gotten more value for Beasley. At least a servicable, Perkins-like Center. That's just a poor move IMO. Then again, Riley is a genius, so I'm sure he's thought this through.
SRV
We were pretty desperate. I am sure we could have gotten a better deal, but it had to be done.
Dash
A recent 2nd overall pick being traded for a 2nd ROUND pick? Ouch... goodbye Beasley's career. He'll get consistent minutes and plenty of touches in Minnesota, still not too late for him to live up to the hype 2 years back.
Lone Wolf
lol at people saying goodbye to Beasley's career. I'm somewhat lost about this. I guess Love or Jefferson or some other forward is going to get traded?
Dash
lol at people saying goodbye to Beasley's career. I'm somewhat lost about this. I guess Love or Jefferson or some other forward is going to get traded? Jefferson trade talks have been thrown around for weeks, but now that the Lebron saga is finally over, I think some teams that missed out on free agency will give Jefferson a look. Despite the injuries, he's still one of the better low post scorers in the game and will be a huge boost to any playoff team.
