Erick Blasco
Yeah, I'm sure Miami fans are SO concerned about LeBron's career post-season averages of 29/8/7 and resume of taking the worst supporting cast in NBA history to the Finals. Or his crappy 29/19/10 triple double in a game he quit in against the Celtics. Whatever mess LeBron leaves, D-Wade will just clean it up anyway... For context's sake, there's also 8-21 shooting and nine turnovers in that game... If you're going to declare your own damn self as the king, you should put up more efficient numbers. That or pass the scouts test of not giving the ball up early to lounge on the weak side not getting back into the play, or to do more work without the ball to end up in more advantageous scoring positions than high screen/rolls, or to be a sharp enough player to be in a system that's more than high screen/rolls, a set an excellent defense can contain if it's all you do. Cleveland's offensive funk last postseason was more than just Mike Brown. I'm interested in seeing how LeBron's game will evolve when Pat Riley inevitably cans Spoelstra. Bron's already taken strides defensively. It's time for him to develop a post game and to learn how to play without the ball.
Flash
Good signing, but the Heat should've used that money to get a center or a point guard. Miller won't be logging many minutes playing behind Wade and LeBron. Don't be shocked if LeBron is our starting PG next year with Chalmers being the 6th man. I could see Miller being the SF in our starting lineup.
Lkr
Are you for real with this LeBron at PG crap?

Cleveland's offensive funk last postseason was more than just Mike Brown. Ha it's still a big-time triple double, and 8-21 shooting is roughly what Kobe shot against the Celtics the entire series (and both he and Kobe were pitiful in terms of TO's against the Celts, but LeBron averaged over 3APG more). My point was that in a "down" game or series for LeBron, he's still going to make a huge impact on the game from a production standpoint. And off-games for James are rare....I used the example in a James vs. Bryant thread where last season LeBron had 8 games of shooting sub-40% while Kobe had 22 (and for the people who preach Kobe's injury, he had 25 sub-40% shooting games in 2008-2009). And the offense they ran was honestly as effective as it was going to get. Good defenses exposed the Cavs every year since they had so little versatility in talent around LeBron. Hell, the guy averaged 39/8/8 against the Magic and the Cavs couldn't even get that series to 7. I really don't think you can blame LeBron for something Mike Brown should have prepared for. Ultimately if what they ran was not in the best interest of the team, that should have been on Brown to adjust. His game certainly has weaknesses, but even when those weaknesses are exposed he manages to do some amazing things. As I said before (maybe in this thread or another), I am going to love watching LeBron play that ultimate Pippen role. Everyone is going to miss his 30PPG scoring and such, but he will have a great oppertunity to show the attributes which truly make him great. Honestly would not be surprised to see him average a triple double.

SRV
O yea, we finally got the "white guy who can shoot" on our team. Thats really all we needed to be a serious contender :glasses: Edited July 9, 2010 by SRV
Owner Real Deal Posted July 9, 2010 Owner Report Share Posted July 9, 2010 He hasn't signed yet. It's down to Miami, Chicago or New York (in that order).

Poe
mike miller is our j-wlll white chocolate lolAt least our token white guy is actually good for once. Chris Quinn and Carlos Arroyo didn't make much noise.
s.t.a.t.
Maybe im a homer, but Miller is actually very good, better than some token white guy. He is very good at shooting from distance and will get the things needed out of him on the court, comparing him to mad dog, morrison, or any of those other "white guys" is pretty rediculous
Lone Wolf
I'd love it if he joined the Heat. Not only can he shoot, but he can hustle and rebound. You'll love his style.
SRV
Is Miller actually on our team? I never saw an article that flat out said we signed him, it just said we were CLOSE,and the realgm free agent tracker has him going to the Celtics for some reason. AllenIverson#1fan
They get a good offensive player, that's the last thing they need. Get a Pass first PG and a Center who doesn't get much points. So, the egos don't screw Miami up.

So, the egos don't screw Miami up. They desperately needed a 3pt shooter and Mike Miller is a perfect fit. He's also unselfish, tough and can rebound/defend pretty well. Definitely one of the best 2nd tier FA's that was out there.
Check my Stats
Miller is perfect, though I wished (for the Heat behalf) they made a run at Redick.
Poe
Miller has proven himself in this league, while Redick only had one good year. I'd prefer the sure thing over the risk, so give me Miller.
