Dzy
DETROIT (AP)—Ben Wallace(notes) says he’ll sign a two-year contract soon with the Detroit Pistons. Wallace told The Associated Press on Sunday he heard from a lot of teams, but agreed to a two-year deal about a week ago because he wants to retire with the Pistons. He’ll make $1.9 million each season. http://sports.yahoo.com/nba/news;_ylt=AvSwjgONEQ.7wPcveuXesXy8vLYF?slug=ap-pistons-wallace

fish7718
lol who would sign this guy to a 2 yr deal?
Owner Real Deal Posted July 11, 2010 Owner Report Share Posted July 11, 2010 Ben is still a rebounding machine. He was pulling down nine boards a game (nearly four offensive) in under 30 minutes of play. And he can still defend.
Guest STL10
This guy is cut from the same cloth as Dennis Rodman basketball wise.
Universe
Glad to see him stay with the Pistons and finish it out.
moeroadkill
really thought heat would make a push for him
Newman
I thought he is going to retire after the past season, but as long as he is staying with the Pistons I am happy.
Sun Tzu
Hmm... I expected him to retire after one more season. I guess he'll be going on for two.

His Greatness
The Sixers shoulda went after him. Meh, who cares.Yeah, but he plays defense, so no chance.
*Swish*
Whatever. Good news but he didn't make a good decision. He should of sign with a title contending team that will get him a ring before he retires. Anyways, Good move for the Pistons. Even though they got a good rookie, Wallace will help them on the defensive end and rebounding part.
Heir Rose
Whatever. Good news but he didn't make a good decision. Even though they got a good rookie, Wallace will help them on the defensive end and rebounding part. I disagree on you saying he made a bad decision. You may value a player who hops onto a great team to play a minimal role and win a championship, but I find it admirable that he decided to stay and play for the team that he spent most of his career with, even though they're practically a lock for the lottery. Now that's loyalty.
beltramba9
I don't see how this move makes sense for Wallace. It's not like he's been in Detroit his whole career and just wants to finish it out. He left town for money, why not leave for a chance at a ring?
fedefox
The Sixers shoulda went after him. Meh, who cares.Yeah, he would be great there, it's just what they need
Abro
doesn't make a whole lotta sense that he chose to stay in detroit.. i would've also thought he would try and go to maybe miami or somewhere that can contend for another title for him and where he can still play quite a bit of minutes. good move for Detroit because he can still rebound and defend in the paint. he still has alotta worth in the NBA because of those 2 qualities tht he has. Newman
He did establish himself in Detroit when they gave him the opportunity to do so...we all saw how bad he did in Chicago and Cleveland and staying in Detroit until retirement is a good decision as he isn't particular desperate for rings.
