The Suns are closing in on acquiring Hedo Turkoglu in a trade with Toronto.

Phoenix would send Leandro Barbosa and Dwayne Jones to the Raptors for Turkoglu.

The Raptors would then move Jones and the traded player exception acquired in the Chris Bosh trade for Boris Diaw.

The Suns must use $6.5 million of the trade exception from the Knicks in the Amar'e Stoudemire trade to acquire Childress from Atlanta.

I'm loving the Childress signing/trade. He really polished his game in Greece and he's going to be a huge part of our team. I wouldn't be surprised to see him start eventually.

Hedo is a high risk, high reward type deal. His contract is massive, but when he's motivated to play, he lights up the scoreboard.

I'm excited to see how this turns out.

Start? He's getting at least 15 ppg.

The Suns have always run a short bench so if we only have 2 players at the 2, that'll be fine. And I doubt the Al Jefferson trade is going to happen, it was purely speculation as of last night. No update on it today but I still doubt anything will happen.

I'm more excited about this season than I was last season. We got an All Star in a trade for a 8-9th man. We can rest Nash more because Hill can be our primary ball handler, and when Nash and Hill are on the bench, Turk is a great ball handler.

Steve Nash makes scorers. We don't need Amar'e as much as some people think we do. Turk is very capable of putting up 18-20 ppg if he plays with passion like he did in Orlando. It's only been 1 season since he played in the Finals, he hasn't lost any of his shooting touch.

Plus Warrick, Reynolds/Lawal [if signed], Frye and Childress will ALL flourish under Nash. There are very few pointguards that can help players inflate their stats like Nash can.

Pretty amazing actually how Nash does that. Our starting line-up doesn't look that bad, but I think it's good enough for us to make the playoffs.

PG - Steve Nash

SG- Jason Richardson

SF- Josh Childress/Hedo Turkoglu?

PF- Hedo Turkoglu?

C- Robin Lopez

We have a pretty solid bench with Hill, Dragic, Frye, Dudley, and Warrick. Not sure who would start at PF though...lol

We are one of the deepest teams in the league, hopefully we'll use our bench more than we have in the past.

PG - Nash / Dragic / Reynolds

SG - Richardson / Hill

SF - Childress / Dudley / Griffin

PF - Turkoglu / Amundson / Warrick / Lawal

C - Lopez / Frye

Only spot we aren't very deep at is our C position, but I'm positive that we'll have a very small lineup half the time. Plus, our Summer League team is playing amazing so we may get more out of Griffin, Reynolds and Lawal than expected. We also have Clarke but I'm expecting him to get traded soon since he hasn't really shown anything yet.
