Cobb
The Orioles are close to terms with Buck Showalter to become the team's manager, major-league sources said Sunday. Showalter, 54, is expected to be in uniform sometime after the All-Star Game. An announcement is not likely until after the game, as the commissioner's office frowns on teams upstaging showcase events by announcing major news. Showalter formerly managed the Yankees, Diamondbacks and Rangers, but hasn't been in uniform since 2006. He currently serves as an ESPN analyst. The Orioles fired Dave Trembley on June 4 and replaced him on an interim basis with third-base coach Juan Samuel. They have the worst record in baseball.Fox Sports This is good for Baltimore. Things are slowly starting to get better there. Hell, they just swept the Rangers.
