Owner Real Deal Posted July 13, 2010 Owner Report Share Posted July 13, 2010 Next season's five looks like this: C - Amare StoudemirePF - Anthony RandolphSF - Danilo GallinariSG - Wilson ChandlerPG - Raymond Felton Not really much of a bench (Douglas, Turiaf), but not much of a roster beyond the five, either. Still needing to sign some guys. Can New York win 40+ games? Do you think they can sneak their way into the East playoffs next season? YugoRocketsFan
I can see them being a 40 win team but like one of those teams that gives veteran teams problems. Lots of the guys in that lineup are pretty athletic.
Check my Stats
They are definitely in the mix, the combination of the lower half of the East getting weaker and adding a 20-8 big man along with a solid starting PG will surely add at least 10 wins to their total. I'm not expecting very much of Amare, their future is bleak as long as Amare is their best player, this team reminds me a lot of the Raptors last year with Amare being the Chris Bosh of the situation. Just lot's of role player around a star who isn't really a franchise player.
AllenIverson#1fan
No, they can't make the play-oggs but can win more than 40 games. The West is always tight. I don't see any Regular Top 8 teams going lower than the 8th spot so it's gonna be tough for the Knicks.
The Next Knick
No, they can't make the play-oggs but can win more than 40 games. The west is always tight. I don't see any Regular Top 8 teams going lower than the 8th spot so it's gonna be tough for the Knicks. I really don't get what you're saying, what makes a "regular" top 8 team, since last year both the Bobcats and the Bucks were new to making the playoffs. I believe the Knicks can win more then 40 games and actually make the playoffs, this is the most hope I've had as a Knicks fan since I fell in love with the Knicks in '03. JYD
Yes, they can make the playoffs. Will they? Probably not. I picture the Knicks as a 35-40 win team. I think they'll be in the race 'til the very end though.
fish7718
I believe they can without winning 40 games, look at all the crappy teams in the east NetsRaptors76ersPistonsPacersWashingtonCharlotteCleveland So all we have to do is beat 7 of these 8 teams, I think its def possible and more likely probable
Jammin
Yes. They'll win at least 10, maybe 15 more games than they did last year and they'll be either 8th, possibly 7th seed. I can't wait to see how Amar'e does.
CaliCurbStomppa
They will make a run for #7 or #8 seed at best. Hopefully next year they spend the money on somebody big.
Dash
I think they'll flirt with the possibility of making the playoffs but its hard to say because imo this team is one Amar'e injury away from falling out of the race. They will definitely be a fun to watch though, lots of nice young pieces.
EastCoastNiner
Yes, the definately can, and I think Galinari will play a huge roll in that. However, Amare will lead that way with 26ppg, 8,7 rp, 3.2apg, and 2.4bpg while shooting 60% from the filed. :glasses: .
Erick Blasco
Maybe they can be a seven or eight seed and get swept in the first round.
Sun Tzu
Yeah they'll definitely be in the running for the 7th - 8th seed.

Those teams are too good for the Knicks. The West is to tight. They won't do it this year.

Universe
Amare was told he will be playing his natural position while Turiaf starts...least that's what I read in the Eddy Curry RealGM article.
