magicbalala245
Odom was asked whether it was true the Miami Heat had made him an offer. The Heat has only the midlevel exception of $5.8 million but might be willing to give Odom a five-year, $34-million deal. Miami signed Odom to a five-year, $65-million contract in 2003 before trading him to the Lakers in 2004 in a deal involving Shaquille O'Neal. "I don't know how to answer that question," Odom said about Miami being a suitor. "I'm pretty sure there might be other teams. I just won a championship." Sun Tzu
That's probably the only other team I'd love to see him go to.

Force
That 04 Heat team with the trio of Wade, Odom and Butler was prolly one of the my fav. teams ever..that being said, Odom ain't leaving LA. I'm pretty confident he'll be with us by the start of the upcoming season.

Owner Real Deal Posted July 14, 2009 Owner Report Share Posted July 14, 2009 By the way, Sheridan is saying that the Heat are willing to offer Beasley. :o
Diesel
Done in a heartbeat. No way Cook and Haslem > Odom. Give them Chris Quinn and Jamal Maglorie. I can't think of a realistic trade that LA and Miami would agree upon to bring Odom for Miami and he isn't going to come to Miami for the MLE. Seems like an unrealistic scenario IMO. Art
By the way, Sheridan is saying that the Heat are willing to offer Beasley. :o Being that developing Beasley will take time and Wade wants to win now, that move makes since.

Owner Real Deal Posted July 14, 2009 Owner Report Share Posted July 14, 2009 That would be the stupidest move in franchise history.Probably, unless it keeps Wade in Miami.
Built Ford Tough
That would be the stupidest move in franchise history. I agree that it would be a very bad move on the Heat's behalf if you just look at it from the perspective of Michael Beasley for Lamar Odom, but if trading for Odom allows the Heat to take the next step and become a more serious contender in the Eastern Conference and, as a result, are able to keep Dwyane Wade in Miami I think that it would be worth the risk. Then again, Beasley has tons of potential and if he is given the opportunity to showcase his talent on a more consistent basis next season, his impact and development may be enough to entice D-Wade into staying with the franchise. There is also the possibility that Wade does leave regardles and the Heat would be stuck in a very bad position without Beasley. B-Easy may or may not ever become a franchise player like originally thought, but if Wade does end up leaving I would much rather have Beasley than Lamar Odom heading into the future. It is a very high risk, high reward situation if you ask me.
OldChili
Keep Beasley.
Diesel
Odom wants to be a starter and he isn't getting that into LA. On Miami he will take the starting spot. That is also something to consider.

He'll be our starting 3 if we get him. I don't care how we get either one as long as Beasley stays with us.
