Teletopez
Over time, you learn that the most unappreciated part of Rod Thorn is that he stands alongside Auerbach and Chuck and Hubie as perhaps the greatest raconteur the league has ever known. And it’s not only because he can easily dip into the Russell-Chamberlain era and the ABA days and the Bird-Magic period when the NBA became a truly major league. It’s because he literally has seen everything, knows everyone, and retains every memory. So The Boss went through more than 90 minutes of stories today on his final day of work – mostly stream-of-consciousness stuff about everything from Marvin Barnes to Quintin Dailey to Jason Kidd -- and six of us were grateful that we remembered to change the batteries in our tape recorders.Dave D'Alessandro Thorn shares some pretty interesting flashbacks. Thanks for everything, Rod.

Klashnekoff
Lmao Yi was putting up 17ppg end of season. He would have helped us greatly as our backup PF.

Guru
Yi was a lazy player who has played under his potential his whole career.
Klashnekoff
He's on been in the league 3-4 years now .. He's only 23 or so also .. He had a HUGE amount of potential .. What I don't understand is keepin humpries and letting Yi go. Also how is he lazy when he was playin in china during the off-season, he also was playin streetball and workin on his game .. It's hard for a shooting PF to adapt to the NBA style .. They tend to struggle the most in the league while coming up .. Look at Bargnani. And explain to me how Yi is worth it beside potential? I'm a fan of him but he's not good at all.
Klashnekoff
Cause he brings athleticism which Humpries doesn't nor does Boone but I think he's gone.. Correct me if i'm wrong. We need to run a bit more and score quicker .. We have a fast, athletic squad now with strong inside and perimeter defense .. I expect Avery to run a bit of trap and fast break the offense off that .. I really want to see Avery work these guys hard .. Running constantly will be our key to sucess .. Klashnekoff
Huh? I know we got Favors and James but Yi would have not hurt us at all .. Getting rid of him was really a poor move .. Also we got Zoubek and no Yi? Lmao

Also we got Zoubek and no Yi? LmaoHe wasn't good as a starter and we were looking to fill that role. Put him on the bench and you ruin Favors development as he takes time away from the rookie. Zoubek might not even be on our roster to start the season compared to Yi's four million dollar contract when we were trying to get room to sign LeBron and company. It wasn't a poor move. He is absolutely horrible at defense and we brought in a defensive coach.
