 Like I said in the AIM chat when you told me to try it, I don't play like that. But hey, if that is the only way you can win, then go for it. Most of the leagues I play in have a points in the paint rule, so you lucked out in this league.

BTW, I FORGOT to make this rule.. lol. I always knew I was forgetting something, I just couldn't put my finger on it. The rule is: no cherry picking  Defenses don't react to it, so there's really no way to stop it.

Sorry if that's a little off-topic.

You can't really control that most of the time... the computer makes your players run down the court anyway.

Anyway, scoring in the paint has always been easy in video games. Every year, it's getting harder little by little thankfully. It's not that people can't play defense, it's just the 2K game designers have yet to fix it.

But I did the best I could to reduce it. Hands are at 0, On-Ball D is at 95, inside scoring is at around 37, layups are at 41 or so, dunks in traffic are at 5, and Defensive awareness is at 80. All those things were to reduce the scoring in the paint. I prefer to make adjustments myself than to force others to.

That's true. I'm talking mostly the people that control a player to run down the court every time you attempt a shot, so that they are wide open underneath the basket when they get a rebound, while your whole defense has yet to cross half-court.

Thank you.

Most of the leagues I play in encourage mid-range shots, and that's what I'm used to and that is why I take a lot of them. They usually set a max (maybe 40 points in paint, minus 2nd chance points, and a max of 30 3point attempts, or something around there) so it would make people actually attempt mid-range shots.

I prefer the other way around. Change the sliders to make paint-scoring more difficult, and make midrange and 3PT shot making easier.

Forcing people to take X amount of shots in certain areas is silly IMO. It's really an excuse to not play interior defense, since I know you absolutely HAVE to take jumpers.

I dislike most league rules. I especially hate on-ball D rules, since it really limits the control of your defense. Basketball isn't a one-on-one game.
