magicbalala245
Wood in LA, CA:What chance do the Lakers have in bringing in Matt Barnes? Is there any possibility in a sign and trade with Toronto for Luke Walton? Steve Kyler from HoopsWorld: Its possible... Matt is looking for some contract security... if the Lakers offered a multi-year deal they'd have a chance. Matt says this a lot... he's tired of "grinding" every year, hopping from one team to the next. Not sure what you mean with regards to Luke... word is Luke's back is pretty bad and there is belief he may have to retire because of it, not sure anyone looks at him as having value and he's under contract Edited July 22, 2010 by magicbalala245
*Swish*
Even though he's a good passer that could open up the court for the Lakers team, I wouldn't mind if he wants to retire or even leave the Lakers because he plays like 48 minutes a year Edited July 22, 2010 by Sacha

xx.
Pretty sure he was a player that always had the talent but never had the love for the game and continued to pursue it only because of his father

The Regime
Lakers Worried Walton Will Miss SeasonThe Lakers are worried that forward Luke Walton will miss the 2010-11 season due to health issues. Walton was limited to a career-low 29 games during the 2009-10 regular season because of back problems debilitating enough to require surgery. Los Angeles general manager Mitch Kupchak says that Walton will work through the summer to rehabilitate and build strength in his back but acknowledged the prospect of future surgery still exists. "Absolutely. It's a possibility," Kupchak said. "It's not your run of the mill type back problem. We don't know where it's going to end up. He's a gamer and he loves to play. He wants to be a part of the team, and he'll do whatever it takes to get back on the court. That's a positive, to have the kind of player that's motivated to get well. That's not always the case." http://realgm.com/src_wiretap_archives/68328/20100724/lakers_worried_walton_will_miss_season/

Dzy
wow how did he mess up his back? I always thought he's been missing games cause of his ankle. He should get the surgery and go to rehab. Hopefully he can recover from it after a whole season has past
