AboveLegit
Grammy-nominated rapper Nas recently confirmed reports that he is beginning work on a new solo album and said that it may become one of the most important records of his career. Speaking to radio host Tim Westwood, Nas also revealed a few producers he is looking to add to his 2008 Untitled follow-up. "I've been good though, my man [Damian Marley] holds me down -- but I'm definitely looking at my solo project as one of the most important records of my life. You know what I mean? I'm happy, I'm happy to be here. I love the state of the game. I love it man...It's gonna be magic. That's all I feel. I feel a magic thing happening and brewing. I keep calling it a magic moment, that's what it's gonna be. I feel the stuff I'm writing down and the directions I'm thinking about going into, it doesn't even matter what producers, if it's Swizz Beatz, if it's Premier, if it's Alchemist, Dr. Dre, Kanye West, all of these guys are guys that I love and guys that I've been talking to about getting on the project. Kanye actually hit me up and said he wanted to produce the album and RZA." JYD
His albums post-God's Son has been pretty boring and bad. I hope he can put out some fire again.

Nitro
Phew, I thought Nas was going to make like an Untitled 2 when I read the title of this thread. I didn't love or hate Untitled, but I definitely didn't want to see him use the same subject matter. To me Nas' biggest problem since God's Son has been horrible production. If he got Kanye to produce the album like was brought up in the article, that'd be amazing.

kadillak
I would be shocked if J. Cole didn't produce a song or have a verse on the album.

kadillak
Yeah. Nas has also mentioned J. Cole a few times in separate interviews and cosigned him. Cole has said multiple times that one of his dreams is to produce a track for Nas. It would be sick.
