magicbalala245
The NBA will release its opening week and Christmas Day schedules during an hourlong TV special Tuesday. NBATV officials said Friday their network will host a program at 7 p.m. EDT, at which time it will unveil the slate of games for “Tip-off ’10,” plus the Christmas and Martin Luther King Jr. holidays. The full NBA schedule will be released on Aug. 10. This is the first time the league has released portions of it early. The reason is likely because of the anticipation for the debut and marquee games involving Miami’s new trio of LeBron James(notes), Dwyane Wade(notes) and Chris Bosh(notes). Will the TV special be on ESPN? Anyways I can almost guarantee with my gut feeling we will be getting Lakers vs Heat Christmas day Edited August 2, 2010 by magicbalala245

NJNJ
Lakers/Heat would be nice, but it would probably be even more entertaining to watch the Heat and Cavs go head to head. There'll definitely be lots of high ratings there
Cleveland's Finest
Guarantee that LeBron finds a way to not play a single game in Cleveland this year. He knows that by not even playing would piss Cav fans off the most. Leave it to ESPN and the NBA to further humiliate Cleveland by putting the spotlight on us on Christmas or Opening Day so people can watch us further be humiliated on national TV again. Poe
How about the Celtics/Heat? The old big three versus the new big three. Plus the Heat's red jerseys + the Celtics green = xmas colors

magicbalala245
Knew it was just a matter of time before someone leaked the info The NBA has strong interest in scheduling a Heat game at the Lakers on Christmas. Following the NFL's approach, the NBA will announce its holiday and first-week national TV games at 7 p.m. Tuesday on NBA-TV, then release the full schedule later. Also the hour long special will be on NBA TV to reveal the marquee games for next season. This quote however doesn't explain the time the show will be on which I'm wondering will it be Eastern or Pacific time.
