Does anyone here bet on any sports online?

I'm asking because I signed up on a very reputable site to place a bet on football, got sucked in to betting on MLB games and the casino, and [expletive]ed myself over, so now I'm 100% only betting on NFL games.

Here's what I'm thinking of doing:

I'm going to make two parlay bets for the week 1 games:

SEA v.s. SF (-2 1/2)

MIA(-2 1/2) v.s. BUF

SD(-5 1/2) v.s. KC

For the games above, I need to get all three correct in order to win the bet. So, I would be placing $150 on this bet, and if I win, it pays 6:1, which would make me $900.

However, since I'm not super confident about the MIA and BUF game, I would make a second parlay bet.

SEA v.s. SF(-2 1/2)

MIA(-2 1/2) v.s. BUF

SD(- 5 1/2) v.s. KC

In the bet above, I would place $25 on it, so if I win, I would make $150 on this bet, which would cover the cost of my other bet. Pretty much, it is just giving myself a little extra assurance. However, I would absolutely need SF and SD to win. If not, I lose $175, but I do think the risk is worth it. I may even make a 3rd parlay for $25, in which I make one other chance just to further protect myself. I would place the most money on the first bet because those are the teams I think will win, but I would just pay a little money in other bets to cover myself, which would cover my losses in the first bet.

Thoughts on the picks and idea?

I would honestly be more worried about the San Diego/KC game then Miami. Kansas City always plays San Diego tough, and they're at home.

Buffalo is going to be awful.

I was thinking the same thing. I might make a 3rd $25 bet on that, which would mean if I lost my big bet, I would only lose $25 total, which I think is worth the risk. However, SF needs to do its job. .

I was big on betting on NFL games last year, I'll take a loot at the week 1 lines and let you know my top 3. I try to stay away from week one though, tough to see how teams come out and play to start a new year.

I know, but the spreads are also the closest they will be all season. I think those three picks are pretty good.

I think SF will come out swinging. The Chargers SHOULD smoke the Chiefs, and the Dolphins should beat the Bills, but who knows.

As long as SF wins and I have them as my constant, I'll make bank.....hopefully!

Not sure what site you are using, but your better off going with a teaser and teasing 6 points for each team making the lines look like this

SEA v.s. SF (+3 1/2)

MIA(+3 1/2) v.s. BUF

SD(+ 1/2) v.s. KC

This way if SF Miami and SD win you collect, the payoff is cut a bit but you are still actually make a bit of money on the bet, something like 7:2 odds, I'm not exactly sure tho but with 7:2 odds a $25 bet would return $87.50

You could even tease it 13 points if you pick four games, get something like these lines

GB (+12) v.s. Philly

SEA v.s. SF (+10 1/2)

MIA(+10 1/2) v.s. BUF

SD(+7 1/2) v.s. KC

Basically free money if you know your [expletive], however with the 13 point tease your more at like less than 2:1 odds

So IMO teasers are the way to go with football, they are safe and because you have to hit on all the games you bet on they still provide a good payout.

I'm not saying you're wrong by any means, but betting books will often tell you that teaser bets are the biggest sucker bets, which is why you always see teaser bets advertised. I get the point because it definitely increases your chances though.

Surely, teasers can be tricky, if you're not smart. Which is exactly why sites use them.

IFFFFFF the spreads remain the same from now until they let people parlay for week 1 games, I think I may actually make a 4 team parlay for $150, choosing the Cardinals to beat the Rams, while including that bet in the first parlay I posted.

It would pay out $1,700+!!!!!!!!!!

No way the spreads stay the same, over a month of random injuries? Spreads don't even stay the same over 5 days in the reg season.
