JWaLL
Blatche said he came to Summer League mostly because he wanted to work on his conditioning, but he added that Gilbert Arenas gave him a nudge. "Gilbert gave me a call and said he was gonna participate in it," Blatche said. "He said it would be good for us, so we can get an early head start on the offense." I asked if we should still expect an Arenas appearance. "That's what he says," Blatche said. "Knowing Gilbert, you never know. That's what he said." Pulled from the Washington Post. Personally I think this is a smart decision. Gil has barely had any real NBA "game" experience in the last 2 seasons. Being healthy during drills and plays in practice doesn't mean he is 100% ready to be the player he used to be, so playing in an uptempo game against unfamiliar players could be a good preparation for him. Wall2Wall
Just play him in preseason... If he plays in the summer league it would take away minutes from Crittenton, Evans, and Young.
Dr. Feelgood
I expect Arenas to break the scoring record. He will drop at least 50 in a game. It's gonna be like when he said he wanted to play in college against Duke just to drop 50 on Coach K, he's not gonna pass and he'll just shoot and drive. That's what I expect from Arenas. Dr. Feelgood
I don't see why he wouldn't to be honest.
JWaLL
I don't see why he wouldn't to be honest.Well he is really focusing on his passing game this year, so he might practice that in the summer league. Maybe he'll break the record for most assists in a summer league game.
Dr. Feelgood
Well, Gil is pretty unpredictable, which is why I like him so much. He seems like he'd be an awesome guy to hang out with, play games, play some ball, or just sit back and bull [expletive] with. I hope he returns and has a great year this year as he's one of the most fun players to watch.
JWaLL
That's exactly why I like Gil so much. Just an unpredictable character. He never worries about being "politically correct" during interviews. He just says what's on his mind, and he'll surprise you in so many ways with his game. I really want him to have a breakout year this upcoming season. I've talked to him multiple times and he's a very cool guy. He doesn't try to stay low key like most celebrities when they try to avoid talking to people. He's very open to conversations from all people. Dr. Feelgood
And he also sponsers a professional Halo team too. I've always wanted to go to a Blazers/Wizards game and get some good tickets to try and get Gil's jersey at the end of the game...Would be freaking awesome. Dr. Feelgood
Arenas is an avid Halo player—his Gamertag is Agent Arenas—and officially sponsors Team Final Boss, a professional Halo 3 team.
