What instruments do you guys play? Or used to play?

Over the lat two years I have been playing electric guitar, but I played drums for two years when I was 10.

Received lessons for piano, drums, and saxophone. Also play a bit of guitar, and would like to get better at that. Did marching band in high school and instrumental music from when i was 8 or 9 until I graduated. Haven't really touched any of my instruments since then.

We had a choice between choir or band, had to pick one or the other (sucked), so I picked the trumpet.

Ended up ranked #1 in the state of Kansas for two consecutive years, in state solo competitions...so I stuck with it after I shattered my ankle playing ball.

On the other hand, I absolutely HATED band. Didn't like marching, didn't like anything about it. People would all go and see movies and [expletive] together, and I would never go, didn't even really know anyone in my band besides this really hot clarinet player.

trumpet!!

I tried learning how to play guitar, but it seems very hard

The first two months of playing guitar feels weird, like your hand don't do what you want them to and it takes you forever to learn a simple tune. After like 6 months I was able to learn things by ear, mute strings and all that. I am just starting to learn chords and stuff because they always seemed useless and felt weird, but now they are easy.

The thing for me is pushing down on the strings is very painful, and fitting like 3 fingers inbetween the fretts is difficult lol

Yea, my fingers are peeling from bending the strings and all that, but you get used to it. It all comes with time, when I first started I just wanted to learn like 1 song and little tunes that are famous, and it took me like 3 days to comprehend something with only 6 notes, because my fingers weren't used to it. Just last night I learned the intro and chords of Purple Haze by Jimi Hendrix, and I used that to learn other songs and make up some of my own. Basically once you learn one thing its easy to use it in other songs.
